Subject: Submission of report about “The Use of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Vehicles: A Study in Marketing Strategy Followed by Navana CNG Ltd.”

Dear Sir,

Here is the report on the “The Use of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) in Vehicles: A Study in Marketing Strategy Followed by Navana CNG Ltd.” This report is the result of my internship in Navana CNG Ltd. The company is now concerned about “Cylinder Retesting”. This means to retest the cylinders that have been used for CNG conversion. The company wants to know about the awareness of the people about this matter and wants to take proper actions. Their major concern is to do business by retesting the cylinders of the vehicles and make people aware of this fact. I have been assigned to do some fieldwork for this. I went to 2 of their 18 gas stations, one is situated in Bakshibazar and another one is in Motijheel. My duty was to take information from the owners(drivers if owner is not present there) and to inform them about this “Cylinder Retesting”. I have collected information from 509 vehicles with 15 days of fieldwork in those 2 gas stations. I have conducted a few analysis and provided some recommendation. I appreciate doing this internship under your supervision.
If this report needs any assistance in interpreting or implementing my recommendation I am ready to explain.

Sincerely yours,

…………………………….

The idea behind the Alternative Fuel Vehicle (AFV) was intended to reduce emissions (generated by burning fossil fuels) that are polluting our air and depleting the ozone. AFV’s also help reduce our dependence on foreign oil (mostly from a highly unstable region of the world). Prior to a decision being made whether or not to alternative fuel vehicles to the fleet of Lotus Rental Cars, we most determine if alternative fuel vehicles are actually a feasible choice. To do this we must first have an understanding of alternative fuel vehicles. Through our research, we have discovered that there are a growing number of alternative fuel vehicles on the road today. Alternative fuel vehicles are defined as any vehicle that can operate on a fuel or power source other than diesel or gasoline. These vehicles come in many different forms, from small commuter cars to larger commercial vehicles. The use of these alternative fuel sources greatly reduces out countries dependency on foreign oil and reduces air pollution caused by CO2 emissions (Gable & Gable, 2009).…

First, is the growing interest in being environmentally friendly. Companies are pressured to use green alternatives by both the government, and consumer behavior. The government promotes eco-friendliness by offerings subsidies for using green fuels; these subsidies include grants or tax credits. The government deters environmentally unfriendly behavior by issuing fines for pollution and by passing stricter emission standards. Consumers influence the companies to eco-friendly by avoiding products or services from companies that pollute or harm the environment in another way. Alternatively, consumers may seek out a company’s products because they are an environmentally friendly company. Another contributing factor is the cost savings that are offered by natural gas. The average cost for a gallon of compressed natural gas in the United States is $2.11, a gallon of regular gasoline is $3.39, and a gallon of diesel is $3.89. A third factor is cultural. A move to natural gas powered vehicles could mean energy independence for the United States. The unrest and political turmoil in the Middle East has led to a desire for the United States to no longer depend on that region for oil. The introduction of fracking has led to an abundance of natural gas being harvested in both America and Canada. The last major contributing factor to the partnership is the lack of competition in the natural gas fuel station market. In…

The controversy between diesel and petrol has grown with the automotive industry, and there are very many options for consumers to consider. As long as better fuel economy retains its trusted value for their consumers it will always remain a priority for automakers. Because of the miles per gallon advantage diesel vehicles enjoy over their gasoline counterparts, along with a reduction in noise, vibration, and harshness, the sales of diesel vehicles have enjoyed a rebound since all but are disappearing in the U.S. in the late 1980s and 1990s.…

    * The use of alternative fuels such as liquefied natural gas can greatly reduce the amount of greenhouse gasses. If the 8 million class 8 vehicles on the road today were to switch to natural gas; that would mean a reduction of 2.5 million barrels of imported oil per day, according to T. Boone Pickens, founder of Clean Energy. A reduction in the 2.5 million barrels of oil imported per day would certainly put a dent in the 35 billion gallons of diesel consumed per day by the trucking industry. Trucks that use liquefied natural gas are more expensive (about $30,000 more per truck) however using this fuel is ethical as it will improve the conditions of the earth. It would also be part of my interest to find ways for companies to improve their gas mileage by figuring out and finding more fuel efficient routes for their transportation methods.…

This world has prospered with gasoline cars since the late eighteen hundreds and nineteen hundreds. In fact, the world we live in today cannot stand without the benefits of gasoline-powered vehicular travel. Since the modernization of travel, the public can drive cars anywhere, including other countries, cities, streets, houses, or even backyards. The mass want of private automobiles has led to more drivers, then a huge amount of pollution, and then that familiar phrase: Global Warming. This is why we need a new alternative to the combustion engine, and there are very many ways to achieve this including plug-in cars and pure…

In the future, one of the most important issues in transportation is to reduce emissions. Also the goal is to reduce the amount of people that is driving in individual vehicles.
