Babies Are At Risks For Teenage Mothers

Currently, many babies are suffering because they have a very young mother. Babies born to teenage mothers are at risk for some serious problems in many important areas of life, including school, poverty, physical and mental illness. The teenage mothers themselves are also at risk for these problems. Therefore, if we cannot prevent teenagers from having sex, then mandatory condom distribution should be allowed.
Research shows that “One in every 10 Filipino women aged 15 to 19 is already a mother or pregnant with her first child.” (Rodriguez, rappler.com). According to research, early pregnancy is more common in some poor countries like Africa, India, and particularly in families that receive less education. However, in Asia, there are also
a large number of teenagers who are already mothers or pregnant. In Asia, parents don’t give enough sex education to their children. They think they aren’t supposed to say anything about sex and the relationship between the opposite sexes. Therefore, teenagers develop their knowledge of sex by themselves, and they don’t know what will happen after they have sex. Youth today are born in a world where sex is so prevalent, and the outcome could be very terrible.
