CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

This chapter presents the Background of the Study, Objectives, the Significance of the Study and its Scope and Delimitation.

Background of the Study Computers are considered to be one of the greatest discoveries of the 20th Century. As time goes on, computers have become more and more important in our lives. We use computers at school, at home, and at work and most of us can’t imagine life without them. One of the many uses of computers is used in communicating within the country or even around the world where there is Internet access. The Internet has become a fully integrated part of our society, touching many aspects of our business and personal lives. The Internet is so incredibly popular because it enables us to not only quickly access information from sources all over the world, but also transfer information quickly and easily. Businesses were quick in seeing the benefits the Internet would provide their companies. Websites have many functions and can be used in various fashions; a website can be a personal, a commercial, a government, or a nonprofit organizational website. It can be the work of an individual, a business or other organization, and are typically dedicated to a particular topic or purpose.
Not having a website simply means you do not exist in online world at all and you will lose all benefits which you could have through a business website. In today’s world, importance of a website is really at higher end, which can lead a lot of opportunities for your business. Still thinking why websites are important for business growth?
