We all live in a society and we all have neighbors. But how many of us have really good
and loyal neighbors? Some of us don't even know who stays next door! That is how things have changed in the modern world. Yet others on the other hand have great neighbors, who live more, like a family and enjoy each other's company.
I live in an apartment and I too have a lovely and nice neighbor, her name is Shirley. She came to this apartment after we had been here for more than a year. At first since my parents and she was also working, we did not have much time to speak to each other.
Gradually, we started mingling and talking and I had a company in that house, she has my age. So we became friends quickly and that led to the fast growth of our families' relationship too. We invite her for birthdays and special occasions and she also invite us when she has something special at her home.
I love her very much and I wish we do not have to separate for any reason. Good neighbors are hard to find and we are lucky to have one.

Time is a huge factoring in life. People have to choose how much time to spend on different aspects of their lives based on priority, so sometimes time to make friends with neighbors is probably extremely low. For years neighborhoods in America have been providing individuals with a sense of security and intimacy. Being young any new kids moving in was always a good thing, new friends new people to joke with. They were very out going, I remember they were the ones who introduced themselves to me. Automatically we hit it off, from that point on we were together everyday, all day. Pat eventually came out and told me he liked me, sooner then later I started to like him too, it really wasn't hard to fall for your best friend when you don't know the first thing about a relationship or love. A few years later Chris and John moved in! I just remember seeing these two brothers playing together in there yard, but popping out and into the side yard almost as if they were trying to get our attention. They got it, Pat, Peter, and I had been debating on approaching them since they moved in, so we finally did. We went up to them and said “Hi, whats your name?” John ran away, but Chris stayed. With lack of eye contact and nerves going crazy because his brother just left him there to “fend” for himself he said “Chris” from there on we all hit it off.…

6. Neighbor is one who lives next or near to another. Neighbors are bounded by responsibilities – bounded by law and own morals. For me neighbors are like distant friends - even though we might not talk for a while we always know that we are there for each other. I am always willing to help them and they will do the same thing for me. I feel responsible for the safety of my neighbors. We share a community; we live close to each other, so we are somehow responsible for each…

The neighborhood had a welcoming feeling where I knew I was at home. The part that I loved, was when I had enter our new home to see what it is like. I loved the new fresh home scent and the way how the place was set up. I went upstairs and view my room that was twice as big as my old room. I was thankful and blessed at that moment. Most if not all of my memories came from her house. We had many memories in that house and I loved every single one, including the dreadful ones. I remember aimlessly wandering late at night through the itchy, insect filled trail behind her house, where we lay on the dewy grass for hours staring at the stars. I remember ignorant arguments we had over things such as “which cup of coffee is mine?”, “or you forgot to bring it again?”, but within ten minutes, we would forgive each other and be rejoicing again. The memories that brought me the most joy were the most mischievous ones. I…
