Bad News vs. Good News: News Editors' Prerogative

News editors decide what to broadcast on television and what to print in newspapers. What factors do you think influence these decisions? Do we become used to bad news? Would it be better if more good news was reported? By far, news is very important to our world recently. Nowadays our world situation is full of violence and tragic happened every second. Indeed, Television and Newspapers are the medium for people to have a chance to acknowledge what currently happen all around the world. Both television and newspaper have their own advantage, which television could broadcast the news with video or live broadcasting whereas newspapers could only publicize with picture and article. However, the benefit of news that publish on newspaper is, the reader can read the news anytime they want to, unlike the TV that have to be by TV scheme. Therefore, it is depend on the material that editors want to spreaded out to the audiences or readers that which is the best way for propagate the news. By time flies, most of adult has been though many tragic in their lifetime. It is impossible that someone could live with all the good news in his or her life. In my opinion, It is no need to reported more good news if it is by the needs of consumers. However, there should be appropriate time to report bad news. For instance, it should not broadcast on Saturday morning which most of the children spend time on watching TV. In conclusion, there is a middle path for everything, which either more or less is not good.
