Bag of Tools
In life we as a human species are given a bag of tools. Everyone’s bag may differ but we all will have one. In the poem Bag of Tools, R.L. Sharpe explained the purpose of that bag. In this inspirational poem he explains that each person’s purpose in this world will differ but as one we will all be working unknowingly to build out eternity. Given these tools you can make your life out to be extraordinary and helpful to the universe. Everyone has a unique talent. With your talent you can build a better life for not only yourself but you can also be the inspiration for someone else. By inspiring someone you can begin a chain reaction and your idea will cause others to express their own ideas. One of my favorite quotes by Danielle Luedtke reads, “Some people dream of great accomplishments, while others stay awake and do them”. This quote sticks out to me because just like this poem it motivates you to use your tools and bring your dreams to life. The same way you can make something of yourself you can also put that bag of tools to waste. Millions of people in the world have brilliant ideas and never bring them to life. I once read a quote by Wille Jolley that stated, “The richest place in the world is the graveyard.” His explanation to this quote was, “In it lie all the people who had great ideas that would have made them wealthy, but they listened instead to some negative person who used the word ‘‘can’t’’ and they believed them. Then they took those great ideas with them to their graves!” With that being said, there is your proof that you can put your bag of tools to waste. So many people in the world put their wonderful talents to waste and over a period of time someone else will eventually come up with an idea that is very similar to theirs and become millionaires. In this world you can be whatever it is you want to be. You can use your tools in any way you want. We are all builders of some sort. The bag of tools you are handed may not be the tools you want but

Some common themes that Chrysanthemum deals with are overcoming differences, bullying in school, and self-esteem issues. This picture book is easy for children to relate to because they have all either felt these different feelings. The emotional themes I want to discuss about this book are excited and loneliness. With a new environment, new people and friends, a lot of the times students will become lonely because they do not feel like they fit in or they do not know how to socialize with their friends. In my observation, there is a student name Ryan and he feels very lonely everyday because he does not know how to talk to his friends in his table because he feels shy. He would not talk to anyone during dancing time, work time, lunch and snack…

The ideas and ideals the Steve Jobs brings to the table are absolutely astonishing. I mean, just hearing what he had to say literally made me feel as if there were nothing in the world I couldn’t do. I completely agree with what he says. “Remembering that I’ll be dead soon was is the most important tool I have ever encountered.”(Jobs, 2005). Knowing the fact that we all have an hourglass above our heads is extremely important when trying to become something in a short period of time. It means you better get off your behind and do something otherwise you will get that opportunity ever again. Those that only come once in a lifetime. We all have done this at some point in our lives. That is procrastinate when you are asked to do something. What he says really clicks with me and may for hundreds of thousands of people.…

Therefore, this hackneyed statement devalues beneficial statements like the motto used by the Traveling Symphony, “Survival is Insufficient.” The versatility of this quote is abounding. In all facets of life, this quote can be applied. According to this statement, the stagnancy of life should not be endured, it should be used as motivation to project the best possible versions of ourselves. Whatever we may find ourselves partaking in, this quote reminds us to find the courage within ourselves to contribute to something in the best conceivable way. This quote also stresses the importance of finding your personal calling. Whether it be a ditch digger or leading a Fortune 500 company, this quote empowers everyone to make the most of themselves. In the age of tolerance, we find ourselves suppressing our true feelings and desires. The insufficiency of this existence is not what we were made to do. We are supposed to trail blaze new paths and constantly reinvigorate ourselves to make our university, our town, our state, our nation, our world the best it can possibly…

By working hard, you can get so many things accomplished and you can get it done faster and in the end, hard work pays off. So many people in this world have many great talents, but choose not to use them. They do this because society today wants everything to come to them and they don’t want to put the effort into it. Mark Twain said, “Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.” Twain had the belief that people need to surround themselves with others who will encourage them to be their best. Those who belittle others who are in pursuit of something ambitious are not the kind of people who are pursuing their own passions and desires. Those are people that may never have received words of encouragement to set their feet down and run. Also, those who belittle others ambitions have not had someone to walk alongside them in life and speak greatness to them. They have not been around the great ones themselves. The small are missing something that they cannot see. The influence of people around us can encourage us to greatness or easily help us to believe we are inept at achieving something bigger than what we know.…

Only a scare amount of people are destined to be the President of the United States, to be astronauts, to be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize, or to find a cure for a terminal disease. All of us are capable of significant accomplishments and achievements throughout each of our lives. As Mother Teresa or St. Teresa of Calcutta states this quote, “Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love,” it signifies extreme importance through society in which people accomplish things rather large or small; love is always present during the accomplishments not matter the size of the achievement. Not everyone is exposed, or afforded, the opportunity to do great things; whether fame, money, or motivation tend to get in the…

Everyone is ascribed to their own unique talents. Most people do not often realize the potential that they hold and instead allow their potential to remain hidden from themselves. The main reason that some people do not elicit their talents is stated in Horace’s famous quote, “Adversity has the effect of eliciting talents which in prosperous circumstances would have lain dormant.” This quote states that a person who faces difficult obstacles will elicit their true potential that was previously hidden from themselves. Horace’s quote is a true and agreeable statement because everyone must face difficult challenges in order to realize their true potential. One famous psychologist named Kazimierz Darowski presented an experiment that proved Horace’s quote was true by observing the survivors after World War II in which the survivors stated that they were more grateful than before the war. There are other personal experiences that have encountered this meaning of the quote by facing difficult…
