Band clubs must make the necessary preparations for the selection of their records which are to be kept for permanent preservation. The procedure for selecting the records mainly concentrates on establishing which records hold a historical value to the band club. These records are expected to authenticate the history, structure and functions of the band club, offer research material on persons, lifestyle and subjects. It is the responsibility of the band club to identify these records of historical value, and to make selection
