VICTORY of BANGLADESH IN ICC

SPORTS REPORTER

Bangladesh finally won victory against Australia in ICC Championship trophy in ODI. It held in Telstra Stadium in Sydney and ESPN telecasted whole match. The match started at local time 9 am. It was a great achievement for the tigers to have such a victory against world’s best cricket team. As it appeared to everyone that it was impossible for Bangladesh to win on that time with such a difference without any wicket left, but they won it with their courage. Also Mashrafe Mortaza was the man of the match.

Ashraful played very well to won this match. When Mashrafe Mortaza was batting, 2 more over was left and he has to collect 24 run. Aftab Ahmed and Mashrafe Mortaza both them collect 12 run each and won the match.

However, there is no doubt that Ricky Ponting's men were desperately trying to seal the series by winning the game. "We have got some areas to improve on and we try to improve ourselves with every match. That's what the game is all about," he added during their training period. he said,

When Bangladesh won he explained, “Yeah, it did not go that well. We got off to a good start. (Adam) Gilchrist gave us a good start and he did it (by playing) over the top. But we lost our way in the middle of the innings, and as I said on that day, chasing can be difficult in these conditions, particularly as the wicket becomes slower and lower as the match goes on. The spinners did their part well,"

"We also haven't won the toss till now!" he smilingly added.

It was a struggle, but the more time on this day passed, the more experience I gained. It helped me learn more things and notice things that I did not notice before, helping me to help out the other bowlers. It also gave me more confidence; I felt like I could run the league again if needed, and I also felt like I could coach and help others improve their game even more so than when I started.…

Trophies and awards won in cricket - a game played by a few countries, namely Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, West Indies and Zimbabwe - do not mean much as they do not have international recognition or stature. Moreover, it is played at a much, much lesser scale in a few other countries and whatever indications we have show that cricket does not have the strength to spread all over the globe. Further, matches played by stronger countries against weak oppositions like Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, end being one sided or a cake walk. Any frontline opposition batsman or a strike bowler will either be able to notch up big scores or take bagful of wickets against weak oppositions without much…

    Imran Khan

Imran Khan was a fine fast bowler and inspirational captain whose crowning achievement was leading Pakistan in winning the 1992 World Cup. A genuine all-rounder he consistently made useful contributions with the bat in all forms of cricket. Imran was also a bowler capable of producing enormous swing due to his somewhat unique action. He could also produce deadly bouncers, which terrorized batsmen all over the world. As a fast bowler Imran traded bouncer for bouncer with particularly the West Indians and any side that he felt had a weakness against short-pitched bowling. In the mid-70s, a bouncer from Andy Roberts, a tailender to whom Imran had bowled too many bouncers, almost killed him. It is often said that fast bowlers hunt in pairs. Imran had developed a patnership with Sarfaraz Nawaz in his early days and then combined with Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis to take Pakistan to the top. A determined and committed individual, Imran bowled fast up until his retirement at the age of 39, an exceptionally long career for a fast bowler. Imran Khan is…

Pakistan defeated India in the previous two ODIs and were all set to clean sweep the series. India won the toss and decided to bat first but the poor batting form continued as they managed a total of only 167 runs from 43.4 overs. Due to lack of form, Virender Sehwag had been dropped from the playing eleven and Ajinkya Rahane was selected as Gautam Gambhir’s new opening partner. But he could not prove his worth as he added only 4 runs while Gambhir made 15. The out of form Virat Kohli also struggled and returned to the pavilion with 7 runs to his name. The man who scored the highest for India was yet again the skipper, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. He scored 36 runs from 55 balls and also hit 3 huge sixes. Apart from him, Yuvraj Singh(23), Suresh Raina(31) and Ravindra Jadeja(27) tried to show some fight. All the Pakistan bowlers had a good outing but Saeed Ajmal had a great one with a 5-wicket haul to his name conceding only 24 runs from 9.4 overs that he bowled.…

Similarly, a noetic and refreshing approach to cricket was shown through Shamar Springer’s and captain Shimron Hetmyer’s batting in the semifinal and likewise Keacy Carty’s and Paul’s batting in the final. An intellectual assessment of the situation was made by the players in both matches and the journey to victory was charted and sanely implemented.…

Cricket, not snake charmers and elephants, is the most common sight in India. Go where you will or want, there will always be a narrow street nearby, chock full of a group of enthusiastic boys, of all ages and descriptions, playing cricket with remarkable energy and passion. Little boys who are only just bigger than the bats they bravely hold, teenagers attempting to play in the manner of the national cricketers they watch and admire, grown men whose love for the game has never waned – such are the people that play the game of cricket in India. And it is their spirit of enthusiasm, passion and competitiveness that symbolizes the essence of cricket. Cricket is a great unifier in a country that is unimaginably diverse, with over a hundred distinct languages and thousands of dialects, with more religions than can be counted on one's fingers, with different traditions and so on. Cricket is a bit like glue – it draws various people with differing backgrounds and merges them in one spectacular collage.…
