Baptist Church Observation Paper

The Baptist worship observation was a totally new experience for me. It was the first time I was stepping out of my comfort zone and attending a service that was not my normal Sunday Mass celebration at my parish. At first, I was a bit worried because it didn’t know what to expect or how to act. However, the experience was gratifying. It was not a worship service that appeals to me; however, I consider that it can be a positive experience for someone searching for a more modern worship service. The community makes you feel welcome from the moment you walk-in, they give you information about their church and their services and are very enthusiastic about making sure they get the message across: they are glad you are there and you are welcome to come again soon. Also, they tell you that no one is perfect and that they want everyone to be welcome to experience the grace of God and His forgiveness in His Son Jesus. They give a very good presentation about their community and what it means to them, but in my personal experience, it lacks the solemnity other churches had.
The First Baptist Church of Woodbridge had a complete different Sunday synthesis compared to the Holy Transfiguration Melkite celebration or the St. John the Beloved Latin Mass. The 9:30am
At the same time, it was not the type of Sunday worship that I would consider participating of every Sunday. However, I did enjoy the experience. Also, it impressed me how welcoming the community was although during the service there was not interaction, but they were very enthusiastic and very respectful thought the time of the service. The importance they give to the Bible is very similar to the importance Catholics give to the Eucharist, although Catholics too give great importance to the Bible, but the Eucharist is always the summit of their Mass celebrations. Overall, they live their service experience to the fullest and enjoy how their worship
