Buckminsterfullerenes or buckyballs are the next step in finding the cure to cancerous tumors. Buckyballs are made out of nano tubes and look like a spider-web stuck together to form a ball. They were discovered on accident when scientists were trying to vaporize carbon. The unnamed atom product was appealing to the eye so they did further research. Based on their shape, buckyballs were named after an American architect Buckminster Fuller who built dome shaped buildings similar to the eye as buckyballs. Are there other uses buckyballs can be used for?…
In college baseball today the players are becoming so strong because of the weight lifting plans, constant conditioning, and the use of drugs to enhance their performance. The baseballs are being wound tighter and the quality of pitching has declined over the years. It is becoming a major concern for college players because they hit the ball so hard with metal bats. It is just a matter of time until someone gets hit and either seriously injures or even kills them if it hits them in the wrong place.…

Today Baseball is considered America 's national pastime. American 's began playing baseball on informal teams in the early 1800 's. Reading through the timeline I would have to go with the Hard Drive and RAM for being the most important hardware innovations. The two most important software innovations I would have to go with inventing the web and network operating systems. I believe the Web is a very important innovation because it connects the whole world together through this technology. Anyone that has access to a computer and internet can search for any information at anytime. It doesn't matter what time of the day it is, there are no holding for the next customer service rep to assist you. You control fully what you want to find out. I know I have used the Web plenty of times just find directions. Now if it was back before the Web I would have to guess where I was on a fold out map and go from there. The Web has made reasearching projects and getting information very easily attainable for almost everyone. The second important innovation for software I would say is network operating systems. These systems are great. With my job all of our information, projects, operating instructions, everything can be accesed by everyone through a shared drive. Everyone that has access to our network can access those files and get the same information. It makes it easier then sending emails to everyone. Just save it on a shared drive and everyone can look at the information as needed. It also makes it easier to use printers and the need for every single office to have a printer. With network operating systems you can simply map a printer that is in the other room and use it. These two innovations have had a huge impact I think on everyones life. It is amazing to see all the new software and hardware come out almost yearly…

Where do I start with the many memories we've shared. Whether they where at school, on the softball field, or even on the basketball court in elementary. I grew up playing sports with you, with your parents as my coaches. I remember in our elementary school days, you would bring a lunchable every day and I would eat the school lunch, and on pizza days you would trade your candy for my pepperonis. Everyone knew how much you loved pepperonis and Coca-Cola. Even while playing parks and rec softball on the hottest days of the summer, while everyone was chugging Gatorade or water, Tab would be drinking coke, with her hair down, in the scorching hot lol. We use to beg tab to put her hair in a ponytail but she would never do it lol I remember the…

Did you know that there are a lot of physical concepts used in boxing? You should ask a boxer if he/she knows the physics he/she uses while punching the opponent. While punching someone the basic concept of physics is applied. This is the potential energy converting into kinetic energy. We all have learned this in 6th grade and we all must know this concept very well. But the only thing most of us don’t do is apply the concept in a real life situation. This is the time for you to apply some of the concepts you learned before in a real life situation. Kinetic energy is calculated by using the formula - Kinetic Energy = (1/2)mv^2…
