I was about 5 years old when my dad first took me outside on the patio of our home to teach me how to catch a ball. He said “stand with your hands apart and when the ball comes to you close your hands around it”. Well, better said than done. Since then, over the twelve years I've been playing, I have become a better-rounded player. I have learned a great amount about the game as well as my physical abilities. However I have also learned many important lessons
on life as well, through the sport. From respect to building determination after a loss, baseball and my parents have shaped me into the person I am today.
