The way to fish a soft-plastic worm or lizard or crawfish is to just throw it near cover; like tree roots or a bush where a bass may be bedding and may want to attack the lizard. Once the bait sits there for about 2 seconds, you will begin to twitch the bait up and down and continue to reel in your slack until the bait is reeled back in. You will just continue that process until a fish is caught or you get tired of using that
