Zack Snyder may have already confirmed that DC heroes like Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash will be making their debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but the characters are expected to only appear in small cameos. However, it has just been revealed that Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen might actually see the future of the Justice League in the film!
Entertainment Weekly magazine has just released the special Batman v Superman covers complete with new details about the superhero movie. According to EW’s Anthony Breznican (via Comic Book Resources), Miller’s character will appear alongside Ray Fisher’s Cyborg and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman in BvS to show a glimpse at the growing Justice League group that could be spearheaded by Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman.

You might be a fan of Christian Bale, Michael Keaton, or even Ben Affleck, but if you ask anyone, “Who was the original Batman?” they would most likely say, “Adam West.” The classic ABC series, Batman that ran from 1966 to 1968, was the first major exposure that many people had to the pteropine vigilante and his brightly garbed cohort, Robin. It had cheesy dialogue, used the cheapest of special effects, and is extremely dated. However, all of those things are part of what fans love about the show to this day. People still enjoy the 1960’s Batman for its goofy, campy, and “so bad it’s good” qualities. For these reasons, Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment came together to create a new crime-fighting adventure for the Dynamic Duo for the modern age. On October 6, Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders will premiere at New York Comic Con. The straight-to-video animated feature harkens back to the madcap antics that made the classic show so beloved. Also, the two stars from the original show - Adam West and Burt Ward – lend their voices to their iconic roles as Batman and Robin, respectively,…

Throughout my reading of Stephen King’s On Writing and Sherman Alexie’s Superman and Me, I was able to distinguish between similarities and differences in each of stories. Stephen King is an eminent writer from Maine who is known for writing horror novels. In On Writing, King writes about how people are able to learn both in the classroom and out, but he emphasized the importance of learning outside of school. He writes, “I took my fair share of english lit classes… but, Josh Gould taught me more than any of them” (King 444). I believe that King is saying that we must learn from our experiences and it is okay to fail. King is saying that you can take as any advanced classes as you wish, but what it truly comes down to is if you are an active…

Someone to look up to everywhere you go you see little boys with Superman shirts and costumes and over the years even women and girls started idolizing him by wearing Superman shoes and headbands. Superman is truly a hero people love the uniqueness of him like his powers for example. Superman resides and operates in the fictional American city of Metropolis. As Clark Kent, he is a journalist for the Daily Planet, a Metropolis newspaper. Superman's love interest is generally Lois Lane, and his archenemy is supervillain Lex Luthor. He is typically a member of the Justice League and close ally of Batman and Wonder Woman. Like other characters in the DC Universe, several alternate versions of Superman have been depicted over the years.Superman became popular very quickly, with an additional title, Superman Quarterly, rapidly added. In 1940 the character was represented in the annual Macy's parade for the first time.[169] In fact Superman had become popular to the extent that in 1942, with sales of the character's three titles standing at a combined total of over 1.5 million, Time was reporting that "the Navy Department (had) ruled that Superman comic books should be included among essential supplies destined for the Marine garrison at Midway Islands."[170] The character was soon licensed by companies keen to cash in on this success through merchandising. The earliest paraphernalia appeared in 1939, a button proclaiming membership in the Supermen of America…

Frank Miller’s Batman: The Dark Knight Returns questions what is right and what is wrong. It makes you wonder if the government is the bad guy, or if it is the criminals, or maybe even Batman himself. Miller uses duality and creates closure to show that there is always another side of the coin and all you have to do is flip it to see it. He also uses art to build context and tension by starting with art that is abstract. The art slowly changes to brighter colors and less abstract art as the tension of the plot builds. With the use of an iconic archetypal vigilante seeking justice, Miller also emphasizes the ever-present question of morality.…

    Batman vs Dexter

    * Dexter chooses his targets based on a code that his stepfather Harry taught him at an early age. The ‘Code of Harry’ is what keeps Dexter’s bloodlust in check. The code is very strict and involves much preparation and planning. This code allows Dexter to kill and dispose of bad guys. To Dexter, the bad guys consist of people who have been tried by the legal system, but when the legal system fails; Dexter will investigate them, observe them, and pass a judgment on whether that the person should be punished for his actions. There is an obvious moral dilemma at play here: what gave Dexter the power and control to pass such a judgment onto these people? Would society not pass the same judgment on Dexter and thus classify him as a ‘bad guy’? However, based on this strict code of conduct, Dexter can efficiently, mentally, and justifiably select his victims.…
