Political: Byzantium was made after the partition of the Roman empire when barbarians came in and started controlling lands previously owned by the Romans.
The Arabs had the land that they conquered, most of the land they conquered was after this battle because it influenced more people to be a
part.
Economical: Byzantine Empire was prospering before this loss because they had many major ports and cities but after this loss all of their land began to fall in ruins. After this the Muslims take back the Fertile Crescent and also Egypt which is both a major city and port.
Religious: As Byzantium was conquering areas it was spreading Eastern Orthodoxy or you can say it was spread Christianity as a whole and later when the Muslims take over they spread their religion which is Islam. More people stuck to Islam because the caliphs were more kind and they didn't care what religion you believed, but they would prefer that you believe Islam. On the other hand the Christian rulers were brutal and some would kill you if you didn't believe in Christianity.
Social: A lot of men were in the army because it was had to stop any bandits without an army. In the Byzantine Empire people spoke Greek and Latin. Mainly Greek because Greece was an important trading place just like Constantinople.
Intellectual: The people in the Byzantine Empire wrote in Greek and Latin. The arabs wrote and spoke in Arabic.
Artistic: Mosaics were a famous for of art during the Byzantine. The byzantine also used stained glass and these two forms were used in Christian churches. On the other hand, in an mosque these didn’t exist, instead they used geometric patterns.
Near Geography: The battle of the Yarmuk was fought in 636 in Syria. The home of the Byzantine empire was in byzantium aka. constantinople or modern-day Istanbul. The home of the arabs was Damascus, Syria.
