After clenching the political power in France in a 1799 he became the first consul of France and became France’s political leader. Also in 1799 Napoleon returned from the Egyptian Campaign and successfully suppressed the uprisings against the government. Napoleon was well known as an excellent strategist who gained his respect of his men through the bravery and courage, meticulous ideas one his approach of warfare. In 1804, Napoleon was crowned the emperor of France. France engaged in many successful battles against numerous coalitions of the European nations, and the French empire reached across most of the western and central continental
