The Battle of Waterloo was held in Belgium in June 18, 1815, which it marked the last defeat for the French military leader and emperor Napoleon. Napoleon took over most of Europe at the beginning of the 19th century. Napoleon eventually rises up in the ranks in the French army in 1789 during the French Revolution, years later he captured the control over the French government in 1799 and later came into emperor in the year 1804. Napoleon increased his empire across western Europe and central Europe. In addition, a destructive invasion of Russia connected with more defeats, led to his abandonment in 1814. When he went back to France in 1815 he shortly remained in power. During the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon’s army has been defeated by the British and Prussians which was a huge sign that he was at the end of his reign and it was the end of France’s domination. . Also in 1799 Napoleon returned from the Egyptian Campaign and successfully suppressed the uprisings against the government. Napoleon was well known as an excellent strategist who gained his respect of his men through the bravery and courage, meticulous ideas one his approach of warfare. In 1804, Napoleon was crowned the emperor of France. France engaged in many successful battles against numerous coalitions of the European nations, and the French empire reached across most of the western and central continental
