Bavarian Illuminati's Influence On Modern Day Culture
The term illuminati – first given in May 1776 – has reached a new height of popularity for all the wrong reasons. Its origins came when Adam Weishaupt founded the group known as the Bavarian illuminati, an Enlightment-era secret society whose main aims were to oppose superstition, obscurantism, religious influence over public life and abuses of state power. The illuminati along with the Freemasonries and other secret societies’were outlawed by the Bavarian leader, Charles Theodore, through Edict (An announcement of law). This was with the encouragement of the Roman Catholic Church and through several years the group was vilified by both conservatives, and religious critics, who claimed their underground presence was a leading factor in the …show more content…
Readers up to this point will be able to guess what my judgement is. Looking at the term in history and in modern day culture, I believe that the illuminati does not exist in the twenty first century. That does however, confirm that I believe about the Bavarian illuminati and everything that happened with the original group. Once the modern day industries that we all love to hate on and hate to love popped up and the negative changes in the government and in politics became apparent, it was assumed that there was some sort of involvement with a group using the original name who appeared to be leeching off it just to make correlations. Not all the public believed this and started making assumptions and that’s when the paranoia started.
The levels of how ridiculous this reached new heights and just got to a point where the name ‘illuminati’ became laughable and as a result, the jokes, spoofs and parodies about them were born.

Now it’s your turn. Tell me what your thoughts are on the illuminati and decide which category you fit in. Do you believe in the Bavarian illuminati and not all of the modern groups using the same name. Do you believe in both groups from either era’s or do you disregard everything and believe that it is just

In this film Robert Rodriguez decided to pay tribute to B-movies of the 70 's and 80 's (the unsteady zooms, the clumsy edits, the continuity errors between shots), this is very apparent in the genre of the movie, exploitation films include excessive violence, gore, nudity and way too many corny lines. Art Direction wise the film also follows a 70’s 80’s kind of vibe, the cast also reminds us of that era. Costume design is amazing, all characters have a distinct very cartoony costume to them, the cheesiness doesn’t end here, the amount of weapons cannot be accounted for other than all the uzi’s minigun’s etc. etc. our main character can turn any household object, gardening tool or surgical instrument into a weapon of mass destruction! Special Effects are ABSURD (in the good way) what really stuck in my head is when our main Hero guts someone takes his intestines and jumps out a window using them as a rope! The Blood spurts and body parts cut off or crushed aren’t few either. Sound Effects have their parts of cheese; the most memorable one to me was when Torrez (played by Steven Seagal) pulls out his Samurai Sword (the effect is actually from the 1974 movie Six Million Dollar Man). Machete is a film that embodies all of the facets a 1970s blaxploitation film would have, but with the Hispanic culture. This is Mexploitation, with a resonant grindhouse feeling, complete with film reel scratches and fake political ads. But the violence and action in this is so extraordinary and unapologetically gruesome, with the extremity of it all not being taken seriously at all. The things they do in this film, guaranteed you haven 't seen most of them ever done before. Corkscrews, high-heels, weed-whackers, and, of course, machetes, are only a very small listing of all the tools and weapons used to dispatch characters in Machete. It 's over the top, absolutely ridiculous scenes that pop up every five minutes and make for a joyous film experience. There are too many…

When you’re not living right you’re giving Christ a “black eye.” Hip Hop music is now growing in leaps and bounds within the civilized world as well as worldwide. Its influence has spread from the civilized world towards the eastern world. Popular artist such as Lil’ Wayne, Jim Jones, and Jay Z can be considered icons in the hip hop industry. They have recently been associated with what is known as a “secret society” or “occult,” revealed to many as the “illuminati.” This word “occult” by standard definition means “hidden from view” or “secret.” So, for example if someone is hiding secrets from you, he or she can be said to have “occult knowledge”. Back during the twelfth century, there was a cabal that consisted of nine men who were known as the Knights Templar. This “secret society” became extremely wealthy due to their protection services which were used by Kings and Popes. They held unusual rituals to initiate new members into their organization, which comprised of blood sacrifices, sodomy, and one that even promised resurrecting a comrade who died during battle. To this day, there are organizations that claim to be…

Through out history crime has existed not only through individuals but groups, some organized others not. Crime knows no boundaries: it exists in all cultures, is committed by every race, and has existed in all time periods. The Mafia was started for the purpose to create a family orientated organization of Sicilians to gain freedom, and has grown to become one of the most successful organized crime syndicates, that over time has fascinated many people. The mafia through all its publicised terror and famous court hearings have left an impression on our society that will not be forgotten. For many incentives such as money and power, the mafia grew popular and eventually spread through out the world.…

The upbringing of the organization has two facets: create a better environment by helping those in need and the other one is to seize opportunities to gain an advantage over others by strategic force. “The idea of the Mafia is a Robin Hood-like organization in defense of the poor had a long life in Italy. But the sheer brutality of the war against the state puts the validity of the myth in question. There was so much violence and Mafia brutality. That is when the myth of the good Mafia dies. It enters into a period of crisis”(The Star). “Has there ever been a trial during which it has emerged that there is a criminal association called the mafia and that this association has been definitely responsible for or actually committed a crime? Has any document or witness any proof at all which has ever come to light establishing a sure connection between a crime and the so-called mafia? In the absence of such proof, and if we admit that the mafia exists, I’d say it was a secret association for mutual aid, no more and no less than freemasonry. There’s the same amount of proof that the freemasons go in for criminal activity as there is that the mafia exists”(Sciascia…

I find the religion in the Popular Culture of the greatest interest to me. Popular culture according to one definition reaches a larger audience. When popular culture uses the images of religion to portray a message I see the message as more of a counterfeit intended to deceive the world and ultimately take the place of God. Subliminal messages our powerful and that is how I see religion when it is used in popular culture. I have much talk on-line about several famous celebrities being associated with the " Illuminati". The Illuminati enthusiasts seem to agree it is a modern-day secret society with ancient roots that is made of up powerful and elite individuals who conspire to control the world — politics, government, religion, entertainment…

The Roman Catholic Church has prohibited its believers from forming part of Freemasonry since “In Eminenti Apostulatus” a Papal ban implemented in 1738 (Bishop, Clement, “In Eminenti”, Rome City, 1738, www.freemasonry.bcy.ca/antimasonry.html, web). Under the reign of Pope Clement XII, the Roman Catholic Church started what would turn into the strongest opposition that the oldest secret society of human history would have to face. Freemasonry attracted the Church’s attention due to its secret nature and growing influence among powerful groups around Europe. It was the peak of an era in which the Church was universal and in all of its glory, capable of controlling the lives of peasants, nobles, lords and even kings. The Catholic Church as any other superpower during history; manipulated the strings of the upper classes between Europe to secure its position at the top of food the chain. Consequently, Freemasonry was nearly abolished in 1738 by theocratic governments such as Spain, Portugal and Italy, which tried to extinguish the society. A great part of the Church’s campaign was based on disgracing and staining Freemasonry alleging irreconcilable political and religious differences. However, as it will be further demonstrated Freemasonry and Catholicism are not incompatible institutions.…
