Be the change you want to see in the world
"Be the change you want to see in the world."
This quote is by the inspirational civil rights leader Mahatma Gandhi. What he was trying to do is encourage people to step up and represent their beliefs. If you want something done, you have to do it yourself. By doing this, others will see how the world can be effected if they do what you do or behave as you do. The most common way to get people's attention is to do it yourself first. I would like to change the world by ending bullying. To accomplish this goal, I would do speeches around the world about anti-bullying, setting the example by not bullying, and promoting weekly meetings at school on the prevention of bullying.
I would end bullying by doing speeches around the world.
World Wide speeches would not only capture the attention of Americans, but people from all different countries.
The fact that someone is going around the world to end peoples poor actions might catch the attention of some bullies and make them stop.
Everyone around the world can be inspired and know that someone cares about them.
Bullies might take into account that everyone has been bullied sometime in their life, even them and think about their actions in a more personal manner.
I would set the example by showing kindness and not bullying anyone.
Some people who bully others might be encouraged by me and want to have the same effect on peoples lives.
No one could use the excuse that I am being hypocritical about the cause if I did this.
I could help reach out to people and make them feel welcome to be my friend and help them out with their bullying problems.
Bullies might see how much you can succeed without bullying other people.
Bullies might also see that they don't have to make people look bad to boost their own self esteem.
I would encourage weekly meetings at schools on anti-bullying.
At our school we are fortunate enough to have P.A.C.K programs to help kids fight bullying, but other schools don't.
It would make kids feel more protected.
The meetings would help kids learn how to cope with bullies and end bullying.
Bullies would learn to understand that bullying is wrong.

Being a bully means your sinning against god, and you are practically worshipping the devil and thats never a good thing. Also your doing bad things for society, and everybody you love and you won't have as many friends if you bully people. Every day, somewhere in the world, someone is getting bullied and it’s your choice whether or not to do something about it. Most people choose to stay out of harm’s way if they’re not the one getting bullied and few people choose to stand up for themselves if they are the one bullied. I believe that helping or asking for help is the only way to solve a bullying problem. The reason why people choose not to say anything is because they’re scared of what might happen. The “consequence” of telling on someone is what most people think about first, so why put yourself in a place where you don’t need to be right? If it’s not your problem then it’s not a problem to you at all? These thoughts are the reasons why bullying is never stopped.…

Bullying has become an epidemic, and it needs to come to an end. If people will stand up for each other and protect each other, I believe bullying would cease to be effective. It preys on those who do not have the confidence to defend themselves. Often times, the bully hurts others as a way of protecting himself. He believes that if he attacks others, then they will not know he himself is hurting, or has been hurt in the past. It becomes a coping mechanism for him. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that bullying should not be responded to with more violence. They need to be shown love, but firm love. A love that says, “I love you enough to not let you continue down this path. Let me show you another way.” Then you are not only l protecting those that the bully hurts, but also you are protecting the bully himself in the long run.…
