Beaver Personality Types
My personality type is a beaver and a defender. The beaver personality type means that I am self contained. Being self contained includes things such as organizing thoughts, having calm expressions, showing very little emotion, having a monotone voice, being neat and organized, and separating business from pleasure. The defender personality type matches up very closely to the beaver type. A defender is introverted, observant, feeling, judging and assertive. Defenders are kind to others and dedicated to their work. Even though defenders are reserved, they have excellent analytical abilities. Defenders strive for perfection, are reliable, and value responsibility. Some strengths of a defender are being supportive, reliable, patient, imaginative, observant, enthusiastic, loyal, hard working, and having good practical skills. Some weaknesses of a defender include being shy, taking things to personally, repressing their feelings, and overloading themselves.

Some of my top ten values include teamwork, social intelligence, spirituality, leadership, and love of learning. Teamwork is important to me because in a work environment I have to be able to carry my workload, help the other team members, and be loyal to the group. Social intelligence is important to be able to understand my coworkers and how to motivate them. Spirituality is important to me because I was raised as a Catholic and will stand up for my beliefs. I value leadership because I believe that every team and group of employees need a good leader to guide them, teach them, and also to motivate them. Lastly, one of my top values is the love of learning. I enjoy learning new things especially through hands on learning. Learning new things opens new doors for me to acquire skills and

Personality is a set of behaviors, attitudes, feelings, and ways of thinking that are unique to an individual. My personality traits are unlike others because they are unique in my own way. Around my friends I am outgoing, but around people I don’t know I am shy, timid, and I keep to myself. I have a lot of trust in my friends and family and am nicer when I am around them. I am dependable, responsible, and generally good natured for the most part.…

The values that I hold most deeply are friendships, family, and happiness. Values are things that are important in the way I live and work and I believe all of these things play a major role in my life. Since I was a little kid, my values have changed tremendously. Back then, my values would've been playtime, mac & cheese, and chicken nuggets. I believe values mature as you grow and mine definatly did. For example, when I was younger I remember being friends with everyone, but now I only have a select number of friends. This represents values to me. My values inform my actions by them always being my first thought while making a decision. They always play a role in my…

This can influence a career someone might pick. My five most important values are religious faith, uniqueness, creativity, community service, and expertise. Religious faith is important, I have grown in my faith and have learned to become more active in showing love. This value has also affected additional ideals. As a result, I have matured in community service. I have learned that as I grow in faith, I develop in my service to others as well. I trust and know that it is my place to help others and to show empathy to them and their situations. Another value I place worth on is uniqueness, I have cultured the idea that my individuality is what causes me to be me. Creativity is also a driving force within me. I am determined to have new ideas that reflect how I feel and think. Along with creativity I place importance on expertise in everything. I have vowed to myself that all my work will be to my best ability and knowledge. I refuse to put my name on assignments that have not been well thought out and planned. Every task I complete is work I am honored to have completed and proud of. At my heart, I value traditional ideas of serving others and being true to myself in all things, no matter the situation. If one is not true to themselves and their beliefs then they have not seen any happiness in…

My strongest dimension on the personality spectrum is coping with pressure. I always knew that I worked very well under pressure, because of past job I have worked, and the situations they placed me in. I always try to be an optimistic type of person viewing the glass as half full instead of half empty. As I see it, if a situation is bad, it could always go from bad to worse. One reason I excel at work is that I don't sweat the small stuff. My mother always taught me that what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger, and that's the outlook I try to keep in life and so far it has been working out for me.…

There are many characteristics that could be used to describe me. I am very outgoing, committed, action-oriented, and organized, among many other things. Sadly not all of my traits are considered positive; I can be considered high strung, stress driven, controlling, and having a strong desire to always need to impress. All of my positives are very helpful in anything that involves people, especially planning and organizing events which is something I have done many times in high school and also college. With all of these traits in mind, I agree with the psychodynamic perspective, which is a personality that is primarily unconscious (King, 2013, pg.362), I believe that our characteristics are created by our reaction to society and then certain traits stick and become a part of us without even realizing it. One trait that I significantly gained awareness to and utilized to my full advantage in my senior year of high school and still use is being action-oriented. I made connections to people easily and in team-based situations I was the one that made sure people stayed focused, while still making sure that everyone felt their opinions were still being heard. I often just assumed responsibility, and made sure all issues came to closure in a positive way, this was something that I believe that I just grew up learning and knowing because I am the oldest of seven children.…
