Becca Fitzpatrick is not a well-known author and is still trying to get her name out there in the world. Nora is a very headstrong, and curious girl who doesn’t know when to stop even when things get dangerous and her falling for the “bad boy” of the school doesn’t help her out much when things get out of hand. Just about every teenage girl can relate to falling for the bad boy, something about the way they dress and act makes many girls swoon. Speaking of the bad boy, Patch has the looks and the attitude to match and as hard as he tries to push Nora away she always comes back and eventually he ends up falling for her and saving her life when Elliot shows up. Elliot is a clean nice looking boy who goes to a prep school, he tries to make Nora fall for him by taking her out and buying her things and it works until he screws it all up and letting his true colors show when he gets drunk. This can be relatable to many people as well when it comes to having a crush, the person of interest is paying no attention or completely blowing off any attempt being made to draw his or her attention until someone else starts showing interest in the person who has the crush and then they start showing interest into the new person instead of the original crush. The crush then starts to show interest because they see the attention has shifted away from them and they don’t like that, they want all eyes on them. Many can also relate by thinking that they truly know someone until they do something stupid or out of character like getting drunk and they start harassing someone because they were only trying to really get one thing from a certain person the whole time and then throw them to the side when they get it.
