You have to be a United States citizen because you have to be loyal to this country and it's a precaution. Having a valid driver's license is pretty important because you may and will have to drive. They have an age requirements so you have to be at least nineteen years of age, but often they prefer twenty-one years of age. Your record has to be pretty clean of any convictions or arrests for felonies and you have to have no domestic violence, or serious misdemeanors. You have to be able to provide a high school diploma or a GED, a minimum of two years of public- contact work experience plus prior law enforcement service and or military service.Some insist that you have an associates degree or some college.
