I want to be a Rho Gamma because I feel like it is a good way to change the lives of a group of individuals in a big way. I think that being there for these New Members in the Greek Community. I think some characteristics I have that would help me in this position would be organized, hardworking, passionate about learning new things but also making new experience to better not only myself but others around me. I think that seeing recruitment from the other side would be a wonderful experience especially after participating in the recruitment process from the chapter perspective. I think another reason I would love to be a Rho Gamma is to keep the PNMs positive and passionate about finding their home away from home like I did with my sisters.…
“Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower.” Said by Steve Jobs. Being in Jrotc had taught me many things. I first joined as a sophomore. I didn't know what to expect. Since I’ve started JROTC I’ve been challenged mentally, physically, and emotionally. I have learned how to work more as a team and learn about leadership. Most things I’ve learned in JROTC I probably wouldn't have learned in my other classes. Cadets have managed to overcome many fears, tears, lifelong friendships, and unforgettable memories. Therefore, Jrotc builds character and leadership by its many activities such as conducting color guards, being apart of the chain of command, and being apart of the raider team.…
Not only did I join, but I became one of the officers. I was the secretary for the fall and spring semester. That is when I realized that all my skills combined together, made me into a great leader.…
There are many reasons why I want to become an Auror leader, my number one reason is because I frankly feel that my experience in Ursa changed me as a person and I want to continue the personal growth that Aurora has started while helping new students experience the same growth that I did. I have always been dedicated to helping those who are younger than myself. In high school I was on the track team and one of my favorite things to do was to mentor the first year athletes. By doing this I would show my younger teammates correct technique, and how to prepare for meets physically as well as mentally. Now that I am in college I love to help kids from my highschool who are interested in Penn State. I show them around campus, and I gave them…
If accepted, I intend to uphold the leadership aspect of the National Honor Society by contributing in meaningful ways to my community. I feel as though I have created forward momentum already by getting out in my community. This is shown through my time involved in 4-H, the leadership positions I held within it (President and Secretary), and the volunteer initiatives I have led in the past. In my opinion, a leader also needs the ability to be open-minded and independent; qualities I think are ingrained in myself. On the contrary, it is also necessary for a leader to be able to draw intrigue…
Getting the honor and privilege of being a senior FFA officer would be a new learning experience and life long memories for me. I know I would make a spectacular officer. And the time I have been on the junior officer team has helped me understand a little how the senior officers work. So, I do already know how to take on the awesome job they have done and keep it going, for years and…
It would be an honor to be a FBLA officer again this year and I have a lot of experience since I was the secretary for FBLA last year. I went to every single meeting and I came to all our school functions like trunk or treat and I donated to all our fundraisers. I had a blast last year being a part of this club and I enjoyed making decisions that influenced FBLA events. I am in many other clubs like SCA, Latin club, and book club because I love working with others and contributing to our community. I know I would be a great officer because I am very responsible, organized, and a motivated leader.…
I have so many qualities to offer for a SET leader position. I am very energetic so I will be able to make sure that they are excited to learn about Kappa Delta. I am open and understanding which will make sure that the PNMs feel comfortable and like they have someone…
Since early 2017, I have earned over 30 volunteer hours for concessions, event set ups, and have been featured in my town’s newspaper for raising $300 for the club. I believe becoming a State Officer is the perfect opportunity for me to grow not just as leader, but as an individual. Being a State Officer will teach me things that can't be learned in class, such as how to be professional, responsible, and how to actively make a difference within my community. Another reason I want to be a state officer is because I admire what they do.…
I also understand that it will be my responsibility to serve as a correspondent. And my planning skills will help me maintain a balance between academics and duties, so that I can fulfill my responsibilities. Due to my experience as the founder and captain of Social Awareness club in my high school, I have seen our club secretary work. Hence, I understand the responsibilities associated with that position and what changes have to be made to be effective as a secretary. Moreover, by running for this position and becoming a secretary, I will get an opportunity to work with the student chapter as well as the national professional organization, ACCP. By starting with the secretary position and understanding the work of E-board, I want to eventually be the president and continue to promote dedication to excellence in patient care, research, and education. I will also get an opportunity to work with seniors, which will be very beneficial because they will guide me. It will also be beneficial for me because I will get a leadership experience, which will be helpful as I enter the professional world. Most importantly, I want to help SCCP stay organized so that all members can get all they can from…
First of all, I display excellent leadership skills. For example, in JROTC I am the 1st Sergeant and it isn't a rank that just anyone could get. I am responsible for correcting uniform violations, the accountability for all cadets in Alpha company , as well as taking control of the company in the absence of all officers. Being the 1st Sergeant takes a lot of discipline and attention to the job because if something goes left it all falls on me. I also served as Beta Club secretary 8th grade year and co-secretary my 9th and 10th grade years. As secretary, it was my duty to ensure that meetings are organized, recorded and minuted. Notes from past meetings had to be handled properly and decisions made during those meetings had to be recorded and presented to the everyone. One of the lessons that is taught in JROTC is to lead , you first must serve others.…
Almost three and a half years ago I was a new freshman cadet in NJROTC at San Ysidro High School. I started off at the bottom like any other cadet, but I was surprisingly the quiet one of all. Although I was new, I knew where I wanted to stand in the unit. I wanted to be more than what people knew me as, the quiet and shy girl who only joined the program because her brother is in it. Cadets knocked me down for months to the point where I wanted to quit and give up because I thought I lost all hope in myself. But ironically, that was the best part of all because I grew and learned from that experience, I wanted to prove all of them wrong. The first month of being in the unit, I successfully got passed through my breaking point and it greatly contributed to the person I am today.…
Patrol Leader, Order of the Arrow Representative, and Apaunic Chief. These offices have served to cultivate my prowess as a leader, and have bolstered my work ethic.…
There are many reasons why I am applying to become the Secretary of SOTA, but the three most important are the leadership, the involvement, and my educational class. First, I wish to be elected the secretary of SOTA because I want to gain leadership experience. As an occupational therapist, it is essential to have leadership skills. In my career I will display leadership roles with my patients and colleagues, so it is beneficial to begin this training early. Also, in this position I will have the opportunity to become a leader for the younger classes, and this mentorship will allow me to pass along knowledge and skills that will help develop the next class of future occupational therapist. The second reason I wish to be elected Secretary of SOTA…
