Nowadays, bees are extremely popular in the media because their population is declining, as well as the number of the food that they produce. According to reports, the number of beehives is declining rapidly and the reasons for this are the climate changes and the use of mites and pesticides. 1”x1”x6’ wood – cut 2 22” pieces for the right and left frame sides from one wood and 2 18” pieces for the front and back frame sides of the other wood, 12 big jars for the honeycomb and 1 16”x20” piece of thick plywood. Stain the plywood whatever you like because it will serve as a frame for the beehive.
Then, drill 12 holes into the 16” x 20” plywood. The holes should be big enough for the mason jars to be screw into them. Then, you can make the top frame. Screw the 4 pieces of 18” and 22” plywood together. Stain them in a color of your choice. Afterwards, sanitize the mason jars and add shims or washers to support the honey. Screw on the jars so that they fit perfectly into the holes. The bees can be added to your beehive after you place the empty combs or starter strips into the jars. The bees will start making the honey because they will be attracted to the combs. When the jars are full, twist the lids, so that your bees continue to make honey when you harvest the honey. Keep the jars in the shade because they hit up when the lids are on because there is no ventilation. In this manner, you will always have organic honey and you will contribute to the saving of the bee
population.
