“How the Bega Co-operative Creamery Company managed the organizational changes effectively?”

The Bega Co-operative Creamery Company is a 100% Australian owned and operated cheese company, which is also the Australia’s No. 1 selling single cheese brand, started in 1899 in Bega Valley. It’s well known natural cheddar and processed cheddar cheese are sold through Australia and over 50 countries worldwide. The organization mission is “to make the best dairy product in Australia, in the most hygienic manner, using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques, while still retaining the traditional properties, experience and craft of its heritage” (Graetz, 2011, p 299).
Internal and External Forces
“Change is a normal part of business life” (Graetz, 2011). In fact, change plays an important role to reach an organization’s competitive success. Buchanan and Badham (1999) stated that both internal and external change agents play a number of different roles in change processes such that change normally involves a plurality of actors or players. Like many other organizations the Bega Company adapted different practices and structures in change management. The first type of driving force is the internal driving force which can be defined as the events which takes place within the business setting. These events are within the disposals of the given organization and they can include the organizational culture, the management systems, financial management and motivational status. Internal change is also influence by the capacity of technological prowess of the organization as well as the organization of machinery and equipment (McNamara 2011). In order to avoid marketing pitfall in the organization, there should be the discipline where employees are on a timely basis consulted with an aim of making crucial business decisions.
