Veterinarians don't just always work in an office some go to zoos, farms, fairs to judge animals, or even racetrack to check on the horses before they run. Humans benefit from the help of vet, but not just because they treat your pets and get them healthy they also diagnose and treat disease that can affect humans ( mad cow disease, cat scratch fever, worms, rabize,etc…). According to the American Medical Veterinary Association, 77 percent of veterinarians who work in private medical practices treat pets, about 16 percent of veterinarians work in private mixed and food animal practices, see pigs, goats, cattle, sheep, and some wild animals, and about 6 percent, work exclusively with horses. Vets work in many different types of environments, vets in private indoor offices usually work long hard hours, sometimes they have to help the emotional and demanding pet owners get their animals health. Animal that are frightened or in pain fight the vets so not only do the workers deal with the owners but they put himself in harm's way (biting,scratching) to save the animal.Veterinarians who work with food or farm animals work in hot usually cramped environments. Usually when the vets have to come and give meds to one animal the have to test and or treat all the other animals especially if it's something that could hurt and or kill the animals or the humans who eat the animal. It also has same but different dangers of doing the job the animals owners have many more animals and a lot more money of their hands if you mess up and all their animals die that's hundreds of thousands of dollars they lose, and when they lose those animals for something you messed up on they hurts your image and you probably won't get business from that person.
