An average day for Veterinarians includes many challenging tasks that involve both animals and the animal’s owner. “Veterinarians work around forty-five to fifty hours in a week not counting being on call” (Orray 1). To start of the day, veterinarians begin by assessing any hospitalized patients.Throughout the day veterinarians typically treat and dress wounds for animals along with vaccinating them for diseases (“Veterinarians” 2). A common task for veterinarians is performing surgery on animals in need of being spayed or delivering babies. According to many professionals in the field of Veterinary Medicine, the hardest task they will ever have to perform is euthanizing animals when needed (“Veterinarians” 2). This is especially heart breaking when the animal is put down due to financial reasons. The state of Hawaii has the greatest outlook according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
