Pat Donelson is a 67-year-old female who presented today with complaints of pain in her left lower calf. The pain started about 3-4 months ago as an “aching/cramping” pain that she described as mild in nature. She noticed the pain while walking and with adequate rest the pain subsides. Mrs. Donelson has a history of periodic angina and heart palpitations; however, at the present time she is asymptomatic.…

Word choice, sentence structure and enjambment were strong in improving my understanding of the social issue of the class system.…

To Be a Slave, Like The Red Badge of Courage is refreshing: it shows a period of history in a new light, one that we don’t see in our history textbooks. This book shows slavery for what it really was: a disgusting time full of pain and injustice. Because To Be a Slave is written through first person stories, we as readers get a more accurate portrayal of what slavery was like, rather than the watered down version written in our history books. Slavery was so much more than the “It began, it was bad, it ended with the Civil War” narrative that we are taught. Slaves were real people living real lives, they deserve to have their stories get told, and that’s exactly what Julius Lester did.…
After a twelve-hour work day, rushing home to the kids and to cook supper, is there ever any time to exercise? A lot of people hear that working out with friends can be more beneficial, more fun, and even more motivating than a solo work out. Those all may be true, but a solo work out in the long run is more beneficial for over all goal achievement because when a person works out alone there is no trying to coincide schedules, or trying to make the time to get together, nor there is figuring out rides if car pooling is involved. tive Here's how I've personally gotten active. While in high school I quickly realized what procrastination is and what causes it. For a student such as myself, I have come to notice when one has a large amount of time to complete something they tend to wait till the last minute. I personally have taken the "get active" way of school. I began to join clubs and community activities to take up some of my time. By this I was left with less time to get my assignments complete, with that in mind I began to complete them as soon as my time opened up. with this open time it began to be that perfect amount of time to complete other things. Procrastination cannot become a part of an active persons daily schedule of they lack the time to procrastinate.…
