Although Asian population is low in the United States, Asian student make up a much higher percent of bodies in top universities. Asian families believe that everyone in their family, should have a specific job position. Asian parents already have an idea of what their children are going to be in the future. Asian parents are not the ones that have a plan for their children but yet they are the most that actually makes their children become what they want them to be. Asia families are just one of the many that have a higher percent to go to college. Although ethnicity is a big part in a students college career, gender can also effect it too. Studies have show that six percent more white males will graduate college than black males, but more women are more likely to graduate than males. Gender is a big effect because women have more motivation than men. Women are more caring than men because males will think it good to be average and women want to be higher than average. Which could cause males to care less about their grades in college and care more about other things, as long as they are passing they have no effort to be higher in their grades.
