Maya and her brother were close when they were younger and lived with their Grandma. Bailey began to become more isolated to himself as he grew older. He began to hang with new friends while Maya was left alone at the store. Her loneliness led her to become vulnerable and no one to go to who would really understood her. She could not go to her Grandma because she was not to sensitive towards people.
