In the geographical space of the U.S.A.,originated the African-American tradition but with its intellectual roots in Africa. It was mainly a theory that emphasized on the fact that black writings should not be judged on the basis of the context derived from the
“white” tradition.The position of Africa in the U.S.A was that of a “nation within a nation” with black slavery being rampant from Georgia to the Carribean. The inhuman work condition, exploitative nature of relationships between the Whites and the Blacks, the frequent tortures and legal penaties,the sexual exploitation of the Black women, the sale of the children and the break up of Black families were the features of Black slave life.
