Ben E King Stand By Me Analysis
Life is vexatiously cluttered with obstacles and challenges, however, the way we undertake and overcome these challenges ultimately define us. Ben. E King’s “Stand by me” perfectly summarizes this. Although many may view this as a romantic song, I see it as motivational and expresses a message applicable in everything I do. Not only does he explicitly mention that onerous tasks aren’t designed to be undertaken alone, he simplifies and decreases the anxiety around these types of tasks as he simply says to just “stand by me”. Thus, decreasing the performance of future production and ultimately fluctuating the state of climate change of future generations. Hence, one change I would make and remake would be on the current status quo would be its prioritization of economic and environmental sustainability. Firstly, If sustainability is what we want to change, we must view sustainability something vital for immediate economic performance rather than something hindering short-term gains. Thus destroying the stigmatism that long-term gains eliminate short-term rewards. For example, pollution from oil production may generate revenue however various externalities such as poor air quality may hinder human performance which will have immediate negative impacts on societies which will affect social economic performance. Thus, to remake this status quo, factors such as social awareness, enlightenment, and involvement are crucial, this a lesson I learned from my school clubs. Furthermore, societies must also take initiative and implement newer environmentally sustainable projects pushed and enforced by governments. Additionally, one must realize that although these processes may be strenuous in the short term, society as a whole will reap and extend the potential rewards in the long
