This report is drawn up for a request by the board of directors of Olay as they plan to set up a factory and expand distribution in another country. Due to disagreements in the previous meeting about developed and developing countries to invest in, a PEST analysis has been carried out between China, a developing country and South Korea, a developed country. Main purpose of this is to identify which country provides the most benefit from expansion.
In political analysis, taxation, employment regulations, laws and regulations have been compared. In Economic Analysis interest rates, unemployment rates and GDP/GDP growth rates have been discussed. In social analysis, consumer behaviour, religion factors and health has been studied. Lastly, in technological analysis, innovation potential, online shopping, research and development have been examined.
After careful consideration and evaluation of the PEST analysis, a conclusion has been made regarding which country is more beneficial. In addition to this, recommendations have been provided at the end of the report for further assistance in the decision making process.
