Grant Program: Young Voice (video)
Ben & Jerry funds a grant that supports an organization that aims to transform urban youth in Rhode Island. Young Voice is a program geared to help youth assemble and fight for educational rights and fights against nation wide test that unjustly deprive many students from low-income communities. This message is affective because it shows investors that Ben & Jerry’s is corporation that is socially active and cares about it’s community. It is a video of a young man at the Rhode Island school district speaking in front of the district’s Superintendents about extending resources to the various schools in Urban Areas. Investors can gain real insight into where Ben & Jerry’s spends most of it’s profits.

Supports the Brandworkers Organization
This is an image of a factory with a group of employees assembled infront of the building. The Branworker Organization is an organization that builds on leadership in the work place and raising a voice for employee rights. This image is affective because it shows investors that besides being a food corporation its supports workers who protest against unfair employee treatment in the food industry. It shows that Ben & Jerry’s values its employees and believe in good business practices.

    Television commercials, cartoons and even schools are just some of the many ways they get their products out there. “Today, over twenty percent of schools offer brand- named fast foods” (Barboza 21). You would think sending your child to school would be one of the safest places to be. Sadly, many parents are clueless to the fact that schools have contacts to sell fast food products. The company often makes a deal with the school to sell their product in exchange for a small fee.
