Why are so many people striving to live in the cities? First of all, megalopolises can offer a lot of job opportunities. Secondly, big cities have shopping centers where you can find almost anything. Additionally, cultural benefits are an unquestioned advantage. As for me I am a theater addict and try to never lose an opportunity to watch some performance at the theatre when I have a chance to stay in a big city.
What are the least attractive aspects of city living? Considering transport systems cities are not attractive places to live. Getting somewhere during rush hour is very stressful. Night clubs and casinos can cause different addictions like gambling or drugs.
What are advantages of living in small towns? People living in the countryside enjoy fresh air, picturesque scenery full of greenery and open spaces. When I was a child we spent our weekends on the farm of our grandparents and I still remember how happy I was staying there.
To sum up, there are both benefits and drawbacks to city living. In my opinion our health is the most precious thing and the benefits of urban living can’t outrweigh the opportunities of countryside living.

It is a well-known fact that the world is becoming increasingly urbanized. In almost every country in the world the trend has been for more and more people to move from small towns to larger cities. Although there are certain aspects of living in small town that I would appreciate such as clean air and less noise, however the urbanizing trend pretty much reflects my own preference for living in a big city rather than in a small town, because in my opinion the place one lives in plays more important role in one’s life in terms of wider range of opportunities. I think the education and career opportunities are the most prominent among them.…

The most notable difference between life in a countryside and life in a city is environment. There are less pollution, fewer cars and factories in the countryside. The environment of the country is better than city’s environment. People who are living in rural areas breathe fresh air and use clean water. There are a lot of trees and bushes there because they provide to people fresh air and consume carbon dioxide. Moreover, people from countryside do not face with traffic jams because there is not so big quantity of cars (“What’s the difference”, n.d.). In addition, environment of the country has many picturesque sceneries and quiet conditions due to small population (“Benefits to living”, n.d.). It is beneficial for elders because there is a small crime rate in the country and they can live calmly without worrying about their safety. On the other hand, people who are living in the big cities suffer from different sorts of pollution. The diverse vehicles such as taxis, buses, motorbikes cause noise pollution (“What’s the difference”, n.d.). Furthermore, factories are important causes of noise and air pollution. Another disadvantage of living in the city are congestions. They have a negative impact for people’ health because they have to breathe the smog, which is produced by vehicles. To begin with, living in a big city can enjoy the best services and entertainment as well as more opportunities. In a megalopolis, the government and wealthy people have invested lots of capital and resources in providing people with fabulous facilities, services and infrastructure like big cinemas, theatres, stadiums, big shopping malls, the best medical services, good education resources, uncountable restaurants, theme parks, museums, convenient transport systems, etc, resulting in more job opportunities and choices. These are all rarely found in small towns as most of them are located in suburbs where population density is low and transportation is poor, so it will be very boring and inconvenient to live in a small town.…

In addition to peace and calm, small town living can usually be associated with a better environment. Apart from the fact that there is less traffic and associated pollution, small towns are mostly located in the countryside and have easy access to rural settings. By way of example, it is usually relatively easy to walk out into fields, forests, valleys or even to rivers and lakes (in their natural settings) when you live in a small rural town. The same can't be said of city living - which of course has other appeals like entertainment, nightlife and a broader scope of amenities. If, however, like me you prefer the natural environment close to your doorstep, then small town living will be a more attractive option.…

Living in a small town and living in a large city both present benefits of their location. However, I personally like to live in a small town more. There are certain aspects and qualities that one just cannot possess when living in a large city. In contrast, there are certain benefits to living in a large city. Therefore, it is impossible to choose a place of perfection. One simply has to give up certain qualities to achieve the others. Convenience is the most beneficial factor to living in a large city. Large cities are usually more industrial and advanced. All utilities can be found in a large city with the least effort and time. For instance, when living a large city, if one desires to buy a computer, he or she simply has to go to a nearby shopping center and chooses the one he or she is interested in. In a small town, it is more probable that he or she has to travel a much farther distance. Therefore, living in a large city definitely has its own benefits.…
