For instance, a person not taking PEDs may not be able to fairly keep up with someone using PEDs. When people go to a recreational area it is to have fun. No one is having fun when there is that one player (think of basketball) that is using some sort of steroid to boost his or hers own performance to the point where they are elevated beyond everyone else on the court. In addition, players with skill do not have a chance to use their skill on a level playing field. It is unfair to those with the skill to be shoved aside by the cheaters. Moreover, those who use PEDs are putting themselves at a greater risk of medical complications that ruin lives. It is pointless for them to use PEDs when it is much more beneficial to not use PEDs and build up their own skill. The only true test of one’s skill is to use that skill on a level playing field against other players of similar ability. Performance enhancing drugs make a fair game unfair and lacking the entertainment that comes from a game of skill, and kills those who risk to use them.
Although many people believe performance enhancing drugs will increase the entertainment of sports as a whole because it enhances and increase the players, performance enhancing drugs only hurt the users. Because some people use PEDs they are cheating, causing some young people to be lead into taking PEDs and risk death just so they will be better at a sport, they are killing
