Benefits of Recycling
Recycling is an important way for people and businesses to reduce the waste they make; it turns waste materials into useful things, and provides a way to take care of waste reducing pollution, conserving energy and creating jobs; therefor, benefits the environment and our quality of life.
The first cause of recycling is to reduce pollution; for example, recycling paper would avoid cutting down trees, and destroying forests which provide us with oxygen. When you recycle plastic bottles; for instance, it reduces waste on the street when people litter. Another example is when you recycle oil after cooking, pouring the used vegetable oil into a plastic containers then throwing the container away in the garbage instead of pouring the oil down the sink will save the lives of millions of sea animals on the ocean and the water we consume to live. Also with recycling, everything can be used to its maximum potential, nothing have to be wasted.
The second cause of recycling is to conserve energy, because creating new products with recycling materials uses less energy than creating them with brand new materials. For example, recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to power a computer for 3 hours, this is because extracting aluminum from its raw form takes 90% more energy than making a new product from a recycled can. It also reduces energy that a person uses to work on a new product.
The third cause of recycling is to create jobs, because recycling isn’t just good for the environment, it is also good for businesses. It is cheaper to make products using recycled materials. It creates new businesses such as for transporting, processing and selling recovered materials as well as companies that make and distribute products with recycled materials. Other than creating new business and jobs, recycling benefits and increases the economy through material sales as well.
In addition, I would mention two important effects of recycling which benefits the environment and our quality of life.
The effect of recycling benefits our environment including clean streets and sidewalks, clean air and water, as well as conserving energy that avoids global warming, and it also saves lives of animals in the sea and land.
Another effect of recycling would benefit our quality of life by permitting us to live in a safer place. We would acquire ways to recycle as everyday life thinking not just in us but in the whole human existence, in sea life and animals; generating at the same time more and more jobs for people that can’t find a job in the actuality, reducing poverty.
In conclusion, if everyone followed the causes of recycling in all mentioned above in order to enjoy the effects, it would make the world a healthier and better place to live, and the global warming would slow down, allowing us to survive in the world today. Recycling benefits everyone everywhere, and this is what we should think about to save the planet.

By recycling simple everyday items, such as glass or plastic, resources can be replenished. The cost of recycling is very economical because everyone profits from it. Landfills are filled with some materials that are not biodegradable and recycling these items reduces not only the amount of waste in the landfills, but also keeps energy consumption and pollution down. For example, recycling the newspaper or any type of paper will prevent…

This is an online article source through a credible agency, the United States Environmental Protection Agency. It very briefly outlines how recycling occurs and the benefits of recycling, including reducing landfills. The purpose of this article was to inform anyone who is new to this field of study and would like to know the general idea. The process is very vaguely outlined and does not go too far in depth as to be understood by nearly any reader. The main ideas are the benefits and the three stages of recycling. The three stages are represented by the triangular arrows and are Collection and Processing, Manufacturing, and Purchasing New Products Made from Recycled Materials. Collection and Processing consists of attaining the material in a variety of ways, including curbside, drop off, and collection agencies and then processing and sorting the materials that can be used for manufacturing. Manufacturing consists of using this material to make new products such as paper towels and aluminum can, with more products emerging annually. The last step that closes…

Recycling has been a well known idea for so many years, but now we need it more than ever. Now in the world there are so many problems with the environment like Global Warming, toxic waste, and not to mention not recycling is very costly but recycling reduces the landfill space, helps conserves natural resources, and reduces the production of greenhouse gases . When you recycle you also help save animals so the rims of a six pack of soda doesn’t end up blocking a fish's gills or a plastic bag getting eaten by a turtle and having it choke on the bag. Recycling can also be a group effort where you get a group of people from your community, school, church, job, or just you and your friends so not only your saving the environment but your having fun with people you know while doing it.…

Recycling is a major part of our society. It is something that we as American citizens do daily without thinking twice about it. That is one of the main reasons I chose to write this paper on Recycling sustainability. The role of recycling to preserving our environment and to live in a sustainable way is a lot more important than many people think it is. One of the main reasons I chose to write this paper on recycling is because it is a major part of our everyday lives and it is something that most people and businesses do. As many people think they are helping by recycling, (do not get me wrong, it is a major help to our environment) they do not understand that it has major negative effects on the environment. Recycling is said to be the basis for sustainability. At…
