Women aren't the ones who want to look their best, not only for themselves, but for their partners. Waxing for men has become increasingly popular in the past few years, because of this desire. Still, there are some who are reluctant to try waxing, believing the practice is only for women, or that waxing will be painful. Others simply prefer methods they are comfortable with like shaving, but there's no need to fear waxing as a method of hair removal. Any man can try it for themselves in the privacy of their own home and discover what the fuss is all about!

Begin by thoroughly cleansing and drying the area you will be working on, but do not apply any moisturizer. The wax will not stick well if your skin is wet or covered in a product. Warm your wax and apply to a small test area to make sure you do not have a skin reaction to the wax.

Start waxing by applying the wax where you want to remove hair. Hard wax must be applied thickly and allowed to solidify before removal or the hair will not come out with it. Soft wax should be applied thinly using a stick. Place a strip over the wax, smooth it down, and yank it off from one end, pulling at an angle, in a single, swift motion. Pulling slowly will not remove the hair properly and will hurt more. Waxing for men is not about who can stand the most pain. Be efficient and it will go faster & look better. Apply the gel to alleviate any redness or irritation.

Since waxing for men can be a new experience, you should be mindful about a few things.

Wax hair that is between 1/4" and 1/2" long
Keep skin taut as wax is applied and strips are removed
Take a pain reliever before you start if you are concerned about pain, but it won't as much as you think
