I am writing to you, Queen Huffgar, to recommend Beowulf's services on behalf of your Acromantulas issues. Beowulf has been a wonderful service to my Kingdom and I am sure he will prove himself to be a great warrior for you as well, against the giant spiders . There is no other warrior that will match the strength of Beowulf. There is also no monster that can stop him. Beowulf has shown that he would rather die a heroic death than to hide from his fears, and there is no need to worry.
Beowulf, a courageous and powerful warrior, may seem to come of as over confident at times. He once spoke these words "I count it as truth that I had greater might in the sea, hardships mid the waves, than any other man" (50). This did help prove his point how strong he really is. Some people may consider him foolish man for offering his help to defeat the hell-serf, Grendel without any weapons or armor, but I have learned that the real reason for his actions is so that he can put his strength to good use and help rid people of their suffering.
While Beowulf was riding my Kinngdom of Grendel, a blood thirsty demon, that terrorized my people, killing many of my men. Beowulf said that he did not want any help doing this job. Beouwulf was then able to rip the his arms and ribs with no fighting-gear, but only his bare hands. "I do not count myself less in war-strength, in battle-deeds, than Grendel must himself; wherefore I will not slay him, spoil him of life by sword..."(61). Beowulf also killed sea monsters in the middle of the sail-road, during a swimming match. His victories surely prove that your spider dilemma will be no trouble for Beowulf.
Beowulf is the best suited warrior to rid your kingdom of Acromantulas because of his many strong qualities. He is a youthful warrior with tremendous strength, able to kill demons with no battle-gear. I highly recommend that you choose Beowulf to defend your kingdom. Every time I look up at the arm hanging in my mead hall I am so grateful for Beowulf's service, because of him my people no longer need to live in fear of Grendel's vicious attacks. I really hope you take into consideration on what I have just told you about Beowulf, and that you choose him and use his abilities to rid your kingdom from the giant spiders.
Sincerely,
King Hrothgar

Beowulf, in the reader’s perspective is a very strong and noble man. As the poem says, “Nor have I seen a mightier man-at-arms on this earth than the one standing here: unless I am mistaken, he is truly noble. There is mere hanger-on in a hero’s armour.” (244-251). He is noble because he knows his possible consequence of fighting but does not fear death. Beowulf…

Beowulf was a very courageous character because he always went into battles with no fears in mind and he never gave up. In the story of Beowulf, Grendel, who is a monster that has a hatred for humans, went to attack Beowulf, but when Beowulf fought back, Grendel was thinking that, “nowhere on Earth had he met a man whose hands were harder.” Beowulf showed him how strong he was by letting him have the full force of his brute. After Beowulf killed Grendel, he faced the…

Beowulf show strength in battle like no other of his kind he battles with the fiercest of monsters just for the common good and well, for mounds of treasure. Beowulf shows one of the heroic traits I have talked about quite early in his story he travels across the sea in search of the Geats because their mead hall is being terrorized by a terrible monster named Grendel. He shows his willingness to help others even when no other man could fight this beast he took on the challenge and he won too. Second, Beowulf shows his determination because after his fight with Grendel he has thought he had won and the mead hall was safe, but he was proved wrong when Grendel’s mother comes for a visit and kills Beowulf’s men. This would be a time where a man not as great would of ran with his tail between his knees but not Beowulf he took on this challenge and went right to her lair and killed her too. This man just can not be stopped well at least by these petty monsters. After Beowulf returns home and he becomes a king after many long years ruling his nation he decides he need one last battle the battle that…

Most battles are fought out of fear, but not Beowulf's. Under no circumstance will Beowulf have fear in his eyes. For his soldiers he will not show mercy to any of his components because he knows not what fear is. In greatness, Beowulf will do all that serves in fearlessness. Being fearless is what Beowulf represents for himself and for them who follows him. "In his fierce grip. Let me live in greatness/ And courage, or he in the hall welcome/ My death" (Beowulf 368-370). This shows that Beowulf is fearless in any fight. Seeing how Beowulf will fight to his death honers what he has taught and represented for his…

The hero of all heroes, Beowulf, strong and courageous, is the prince of Geats. Once he makes a vow, he stands by his word, no matter what the cost, even if it takes his life. He is reluctant to back down from battle, just so he can be there for the people who are in great need to be saved from evil. He signifies the true heroic character because he is willing to risk his life for his ideals. Beowulf defeats three gruesome monsters, two of whom are descendants of Cain. Beowulf is able to show his characteristics both in his youth and in his older days.…

Today was the day I lost my son and the great Beowulf is to blame. I feel it. I feel the emptiness that comes when a mother loses her child. I hear my son calling out for me, wishing I was there to help. I feel the broken bones and the screams that my child, my sweet baby boy, made while Beowulf tore him from this world. I feel the anger, and the ferocity of a mother bear, but i have failed to protect my cub. I have traveled to the surface, far from the safety and comfort of my cave beneath the water, to kill beowulf. I have captured him and i will kill him. His puny blade does no damage to me, for i am too strong for him. I am winning, the life slowly draining from Beowulf’s body, until i remember my greatest weakness; I am the only one who…

The first of his three major battles was Grendel, a beast who ventured into Heorot (the Danish mead hall) and swept up all the drunken men for a feast. Hearing of this monster Beowulf set sail from Sweden to Denmark to face Grendel. Before the battle he and his men only had one drink to ensure they had their wits about them. Then later in the night they lay waiting for the beast to appear acting as if they were drunk and unconscious. Grendel burst through the large metal doors. The stench of so many of the dead choking the air, looks around and finds his first target, one of Beowulf’s men. He snatches him up, bites his head off and proceeds to drink him like a juicy-juice before consuming him whole. His next victim wouldn’t be taken so easily though. The foolish Grendel grabs at Beowulf who is waiting patiently for the beast. Beowulf then grabs onto Grendel’s arm and proceeds to tear it clean off at the shoulder. Scared Grendel runs with his tail between his legs back to the hellish pit he calls home where he dies before his own mother.…

Upon reading or watching the epic tales of heroes, it is easy to overlook the connection they all share. From his writings in, A Hero With A Thousand Faces, Joseph Campbell brings to light the journey of a hero in “the rights of passage: separation – initiation – return: which might be named the nuclear unit of the monomyth.” (Campbell, 30) The epic tale of a hero follows the universal pattern of Campbell’s monomyth beginning with the separation, or call to adventure - leaving one’s family, friends, or tribe. Followed by the initiation of the crossing the threshold into the world unknown where he encounters trials and is victorious. S/he can then return home with a “boon” to aid and/or restore his/her world. According to Campbell, “[o]ther [monomyths] string a number of independent cycles into a single series (as in the Odyssey).” (Campbell, 246) In Beowulf, the poet has sent Beowulf on his journey of the monomyth. However, like Csmpbell has written, Beowulf’s journey consist of three miniature monomyths that can be connected into one hero’s journey that take several decades of his life to complete.…

I have heard from several different sources that Beowulf is conspiring to seek me out, the greatest she-beast of them all, and do to me what I did to Eschere. When I heard this, I could do nothing but laugh. Who does this man think that he is? He may have been able to defeat my son, but if he thinks for one instant that he can do the same to me, he is in for a rude awakening. Like I said, I taught Grendel everything he knew, but not everything I did. This old beast still has a lot of fight left in her. I can take on Beowulf and any weapon he chooses to laden himself with. That's the good part though, because I will not need a weapon. The insurmountable intensity and immense girth of my enormous body alone will crush Beowulf like a bug. What does he think a little sword is going to do for him? One swing on my fist, and his head will be flying with the…

Two years ago, when I was in form 4, I met my all-time enemy, a spider. It was almost as big as me and has really black and furry hair all around its body. The spider has two big round black eyes that will make you shiver every time you stare at them but weirdly, the spider has the head of a human. That’s weird. I met the spider at the back of my classroom. It was blurry but I remember vividly what the spider said, “You scare of us aren’t you? You hate us and you going to kill us but I will definitely hunt you and eat you alive”, then its start to chase me using only two feet and I run for my life. There are many times that the spider almost caught me but I always managed to run away. Unfortunately, after running for miles the spider trapped me between its arms. I started to have cold sweat, screaming and crying. The spider started to spit out its spider web and round it around by body and then BOOM!…
