These two stories are like a coin; you can not have one side without the other. Just as the sides of a coin share the same coin, these stories share a similar plot, a setting, and tell of the same event. The side of a coin also have differences as Beowulf and Grendel do. In case of these two tales this different is in their respective esoteric views, their first person point of view in Grendel, It show his feelings, his thoughts and his evolution. It give more details and it like talk directly to the reader by using first person pronouns like “I”. And their third person point of view in Beowulf, It is a tales from outside view and bring reader in to the imaginary tales. It use third person pronouns like “They” or “He” Beowulf and Grendel, they share subject matter. They share plot. They share setting and tell exact same event, but Beowulf and Grendel have two entirely themes.
