The Many Themes of Beowulf There are multiple themes throughout the story Beowulf such as bravery, loyalty, courage, or to just never give up. But one theme that seems to stand out more would be Good vs. Evil. Beowulf is the epic hero of this poem because he embraces all the characteristics that a hero should, such as courage, devotion and strength, both physically and mentally.
