Besthorn & McMillen are the authors of the article titled The oppression of women and nature: Ecofeminism as a framework for an expanded ecological social work. Families in Society. The article conceptualizes the various aspects that influence the professional commitment of different people in the society. It utilizes insight and knowledge from the radical environmental and philosophy-ecofeminism in order to gain a deeper understanding of how social workers collaborate with communities and individuals in bringing out the much desired change in the society. The authors of the article conclude by stating that, solutions to the problem of gender equality and role of women issues can be resolved by collaboration between various collaborators in the society. The authors have made different suggestions about the solutions to the problem.
