was just to drop the facts and tell people what really is going on. 1 example of him using logos is when the author said that “appeals court ruled that two middleschool girls were wrongly suspended for wearing the bracelets as part of a breast cancer awareness campaign promoted by the Keep A Breast Foundation.” I think that that is logos because the author is telling the audience what happened that 2 girls got suspended. The author also uses a lot of bias when he says that "Surely," wrote Chief Justice Warren Burger, "it is a highly appropriate function of public school education to prohibit the use of vulgar and offensive terms in public discourse." I think this is where the author was more biased.
I get that some people get offended but every single person is entitled to there own right and for them to say that it was wrong is not right. People might get offended and that can happen but when they are supporting a cause like cancer which the author says they were supporting is wrong to get them in trouble for that so that is why I think that the author is biased. “two middleschool girls were wrongly suspended for wearing the bracelets as part of a breast cancer awareness campaign promoted by the Keep A Breast Foundation.” The author uses very little connotation in this essay that he wrote. But the words that I was able to find that had connotation in them, one of the words were said in paragraph 1 sentence 1. Forty Four years ago, the Supreme Court ruled that students in public schools don't "shed their constitutional rights to freedom of speech or expression at the schoolhouse gate." I think that the author when he said the word “shed” he was referring to like they don't give their constitutional rights to freedom of speech or expression at the schoolhouse gate. That is what I thought that she'd
meant.
I think that all Connotation and Rhetoric and biased all affected the author's argument in a strong way. I think that out of all 3 of these biased was the most one that affected the author's argument because he used a lot of biased saying that the 2 girls that got suspended were wrong when they really were not they were just supporting the “Keep A Breast Foundation.” When the author used logos from rhetoric he just stated the facts that he thought were right also I think that the author was right in some places of his arguments but the others not so much. And connotation did not make a really big effect on the author's argument because there were not that many connotative words. Overall I think that the author had used a lot of Biased and used Connotative words and also he used some Rhetoric. But in the end I think that the author had made a lot of strong point and weak points. I also think that when people are wearing the I love Boobies band they should not be suspended because they were supporting a good cause and in the end we all have our own right and for the people to take them away like this is not right.
