It isn’t the end of the world…yet.
Many people believe that we are currently in the end times prophesized in the Bible. Although it would be fairly simple to attach biblical significance to events occurring in our current times, it is important to note, a great multitude of people, throughout the centuries, have searched within their own times for signs of the coming apocalypse. All who claimed to have found the smoking gun that proved we were in the end times have been wrong. We know this because the world still exists, and we’re still here in it.

When the sixth seal is opened ”there came a great earthquake; the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree drops it’s winter fruit when shaken by a gale. The sky vanished like a scroll rolling itself up, and every mountain and island was removed from it’s place, then the kings of the earth, and the magnates and the generals, and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.” (Rev. 6:12-16) This passage suggests that the asteroid did not hit the land but instead struck a body of water. This would provide an explanation for the earthquake, the blotting out of the sun and the appearance of the moon as blood red due to the large amount of debris in the atmosphere. The impact would cause a tsunami high enough to make islands and small mountains disappear. The rocks from the earth’s crust blasted into the atmosphere would appear as stars falling to earth upon reentry. This would have given good reason for the people to hide in the mountains in caves, not to mention the flooding from the
