In the Bible there are many verses that support using the death penalty. One of the core verses to see the support of capital punishment in the Bible is Exodus 21:23-25. This verse states one of the most iconic revenge phrases: “an eye for an eye.” Also, earlier in the passage it states says “whoever strikes a man so that he dies shall be put to death.”(ESV) There is a common Biblical principle that is accepted in society. That principle is that you will reap what you sew. You will have consequences for whatever you do, wether that be if you speed, you will get ticketed. The Bible supports capital punishment by the simple principle that there are consequences to our actions.

But it is clear to see that some parts of their arguments, just do not make sense. I am not saying that there are not racists and evil people in the world. But, not all people who support capital punishment target someone just to eliminate them because of the color of their skin or how much money they have in their bank account.
