We sinned against God and subjected the whole world to a curse. God Himself has redeemed the world through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. I know that one day he will restore creation to its former perfect state (Isaiah 65:17-25). A Christian worldview leads us to believe in moral absolutes, miracles, human dignity, and the possibility of redemption. Assessing my worldview just made me realize that I have no doubts in what I believe to be true, and I believe that my worldview becomes the driving force behind every emotion, decision, and action. Therefore, it affects my response to every area of…
Introduction: The term "image of God" occurs three times in the Bible. In Genesis 1:26-27 and 9:6, we find out that man is created in the image of God. In 2 Cor. 4:4 we see the phrase used in reference to Jesus who is the "image of God." There is no exact understanding of what the phrase means, but we can generalize. It would seem that the first two verses refer to God's character and attributes that are reflected in people. The term cannot be a reference to a physical appearance of God since Jesus says in John 4:24 that God is Spirit, and in Luke 24:39 Spirit does not have flesh and bones. Therefore, we can conclude that the image of God deals with humanity's reflection of God in such things as compassion, rationality, love, hatred, fellowship, etc. God exhibits all of these characteristics, as do people.…
Often times, new believers are encouraged to read through the book of Romans. This is because Paul is able to break down essential aspects of the Christian life in a way that is both probing and encouraging. It covers aspects of the natural world, human identity, relationships, and culture. As with every word of the Bible, this book transcends time and culture and speaks as much in todays’ time as it did to the Roman church to who Romans was originally written. As believers in Christ, it is important to live these truths so that He may use our lives for His glory and honor.…

A facet of Christian faith is the belief that mankind is created in the image of God. So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” I believe we were created in God's image, and that it influences me every day as a manager at Target. The inherit image of God in myself shows me that I should treat others with dignity and have no bias or exploitation of others based on looks, creed, race, gender, etc. The inherit image of God in myself also shows me that I need to be a servant such as Jesus was.…

The Teleological Argument is the argument from a design stand point. The argument implies that a higher source of intelligence had to come up with the design in which the universe came into existence. McCloskey come up with numerous reason against this argument that suggest the Teleological Argument is not adequate in proving God exist. A design must have a designer and us as humans couldn’t create the earth ourselves even if we put all our thinking caps together, the creator of this world had to be something and someone so powerful and intelligent that it was beyond human belief. Whether he wants to call the being God or not he has to realize this isn’t something that happened on its own.…
In Paul’s epistle to the Romans he gives us the foundation of Christian life in regards to how we should not only see the world, but also how we should act in a world that rejects the gospel of Christ. In Romans 1-8 Paul teaches us how we are not able to come to a saving grace through our works, but that it must come from Christ alone, and not only to the Jews, but to the Gentiles also. Paul tells us however, that this will not be easy, but we that we need to remember who is ultimately in control of everything around us.…
Interestingly Christianity is a religion that came out of yet another ancient religion “Judaism” in the 1st century C.E. This religion revolves around the life, death, resurrection and also teachings of Jesus Christ who was said to be born through immaculate conception through Mary, grew up as a humble carpenter’s time and began his teachings as early as when he was twelve years old. This religion believes in trinity, God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. According to Christianity, the Universe was created by God and this is described in Genesis - the first book of the Holy Bible. The opening lines of Genesis clearly explain cosmogony: "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth" (Jeynes, 2009).…

In the first example, I will be going over leadership and how important it is as a Christian to remember your foundational belief that we are created in the image of God. The second example, I will be discussing the importance of honesty for Christians, since we are created in the image of God. “Immediately following each day of creation God saw that it was good, but after the creation of man, God saw that it was very good”. There is currently a major dispute on whether or not the United States Constitution correlates with a Biblical worldview. When the founders wrote the Constitution they wrote it based on what had thrived within many previous civilizations and people groups such as the Roman, the Greek, and the Hebrew which happens to be, the Bible. Research shows that, the U.S. Constitution was written by deriving ideas from several different philosophers, and many principals and passages from the Bible.…
Competing worldviews are breaking out everywhere especially throughout North America. Two sides with vastly differing and incompatible worldviews are being locked in a bitter conflict that permeates every level of society. On one side of the battle is the Christian worldview, and on the other is the Humanist worldview divided into three branches: Secular Humanism, Marxism/Leninism, and Cosmic Humanism. It’s in this essay that we will seek to understand all of the three Humanist worldviews while presenting a strong, honest, truthful, intelligent defense of Biblical Christianity. As believers in and followers of Jesus Christ, we need to consider how our commitment to Him affects not just our political and ethical convictions, but also the way…
