In the beginning of the book an old wise pig named Old Major was talking about a dream of his. He first states “No animal in England is free. The pigs begin to sleep in the house and they also have all the milk and apples reserved for the pigs. Since the pigs don’t want the other animals to make this a problem they have Squealer talk to him, he says “We pigs are brainworkers. The whole management and organization of the farm depends on us. It is for your sake that we drink the mail and eat the apples (Orwell 52).” This was the excuse that Squealer gave for the pigs eating all the apples and drinking all the milk. This proves that the pigs were becoming more like humans because they were depending more on the other animals for their food just like Old Major described the old farm owner Jones. “Man is the only creature that consumes without producing.
