Introducing bigcharts.com and stockcharts.com
Both bigcharts.com and stockcharts.com provide tools to graph various types of technical charts for securities such as stocks and index fund.
Bigcharts.com is part of Marketwatch, besides charting, it provide market news and plethora of company research information, it marries technical analysis with fundamental analysis, and can be very useful for trader with fundamental analysis background. A big bonus for bigcharts is it provide minutes data for last 10 days. This is really useful for intraday technical analysis.
Stockcharts.com provides excellent charting, in addition, it host one of best free chart education courses. It provides more extensive indicator analysis, and more customizable chart compare to bigcharts.com. Stockcharts also have an active forum to discuss technical breakout. The sites gear toward technical analysis.

From navigation “Quotes,News,Industries,Markets”, we can see market news and data is big part of bigcharts.com.
For example, the home page will display news such as “Japan’s Topix up 0.8%”, “U.S. Stocks jumps. One nice aspect of bigcharts is when you click on highlighted stocks mentioned in the news, it take you directly to the chart for the stock.

Chart: Historical data, Industry Analysis, Fundamental Analysis Bigcharts provide industries data, market news, top loser and gainers. This is very similar to Yahoo finance.
