Humans have been interested in odd creatures and beings from mythology for most of time. One of these beings is Bigfoot. Bigfoot is a large ape like being that lives in forests all round the world. But a large part of the sightings are in the northwest of the United States and up into Canada. Bigfoots are also thought to be related to the Yeti. References to, and recorded sightings of Bigfoots have been around for a very long time. There are also many eyewitness accounts and odd events that have ben described as being Bigfoots. There are also many legends of large harry en in Native American stories. These all point to the existence of Wildman in early time. But these sighting could also be other people and some may be more stories than actually sightings. Bigfoot is a relatively new term, they are also referred to as sasquatches. They mainly seem to appear at night in the forests in Washington State, Idaho, Oregon, California, and northern Utah. Sightings usually accrue at night, being seen crossing roads in front of cars and have been seen in farmlands at night. There has been a sighting in which a Sasquatch was seen disappearing into the forest behind a small cemetery next to a town in Washington. Some more famous run-ins with Bigfoot include, in 1924 Albert Ostman claimed that he was kidnaped by a Sasquatch and held for a week before being released. Also in 1924, there was a case of several miners staying in a log cabin in ape canyon in Washington. They reported that several rock-throwing ape like creatures attached them through the night. In 1950 an experienced mountaineer disappeared after climbing in Ape canyon. Search and rescuers found his foot prints as if he was running from something.
