Bilingual Client Services Counselor Case Study
I was pleased to learn you were recruiting for the Bilingual Client Services Counselor position. Joining the Doorways family just a few months ago has been very fulfilling and has sparked my drive and interest to want to broaden the meaningful work I have been doing at Revive. I am dedicated and enjoy the rewarding work I am able to do in my current position as the Bilingual Victim Advocate and believe I can help continue to further help HomeStart families. Although I am relatively “new” to Doorways, I think my collective work experience along with what I have demonstrate during the time I have been here speaks to my dedication to clients, my integrity, and core values. As a Bilingual Client Services Counselor, one aspect of this role I would
really enjoy is being able to build relationships with clients over an extended period and have the opportunity help families during their journey to independence. The case management experience I gained at Northern Virginia Family Service Early Head Start has immensely further developed since taking on the role of the Bilingual Victim Advocate and I am eager to continue to learn every day. I believe I could be a valuable addition to HomeStart because I am familiar with Doorways mission, but also the personal qualities I acquire are essential in this line of work. Not only do I believe I can be successful in this role because of my bilingual skills, but I have also demonstrated at Revive that I am team player, I am reliable, and have gained knowledge about resources available in Arlington County. Furthermore, my previous work history as a supervisor at Floose Corporation where I was employed for 7 years instilled organizational skills and a financial background that I’ve found useful when working clients and vastly useful for administrative and programmatic responsibilities. I am content in current position and feel I make a difference in families’ lives, however the Bilingual Client Services Counselor position is of interest to me as I will be able to seeing long-term results in the families I work with and I find that very worthwhile.
