Bill Clinton Accomplishments

Bill Clinton was born August 19, 1946 in Hope, Arkansas. He was not born into a wealthy family. His dad died in a car accident when he was young. His mom remarried and Bill took the last name of his step dad which was Clinton. Before that, he was William Jefferson Blyth. Rodger Clinton was an abusive stepfather. Bill was very intelligent as a child he went to Boy’s State and then to Boy’s Nation. He shook John F. Kennedy’s hand at Boy’s Nation. This was said to be the point were Clinton knew he wanted to be in politics. He attended University of Georgetown and was named Rhodes Scholar to Oxford University. At that time our debt was about 4.6 trillion dollars. Clinton felt like this was a problem and something needed to be done about it. Bill Clinton wanted cut taxes for the middle class. He also wanted to make the rich pay their fair share of taxes. Clinton wanted to make sure that Americans get proper training and retraining for their jobs. This will help us reach a high-skilled, high wage economy. He had an economic plan that had three parts. The three parts were: emphasize education and training, not just to kids but also to adults, give new incentives to the private sector to invest in the economy, and think a lot about organizing to make change our friend instead of our
Bill Clinton felt like the reason the rate has been going up was because of cocaine. At this time cocaine has been finding its ways though the streets of the United States and this made the crime go up. So Bill Clinton felt that this had to stop. So he promised that if he got elected he will propose a bill to the congress so it can help the crime rate to go down. He was going to cut on drugs by talking with Mexico about drug smuggling problems. Some of the border police were offered much more money than they were making a year to let drugs go across the border without doing anything about it. Bill Clinton wanted to make a National Youth Anti-drug Media Campaign. This campaign would cost 195 million dollars. Bill Clinton said that he would appoint someone in charge of the campaign. Clinton wanted to educate the youth about drugs so they know avoid them later on in life, and he wanted to get dealers off the streets and put them into treatment. Clinton also wanted to block drugs off from getting into America by having tighter border
