I. Introduction
A. My paper is about the contributions Bill Gates has made to the computer industry.
B. Bill Gates is one of the best-known entrepreneurs of the personal computer revelation. He is a computer programmer and a philanthropist. He is one of the wealthiest men in the world, becoming a billionaire before the age of 32.
C. This paper gives the purpose of being informative to my audience about the life and accomplishments of Bill Gates.
D. Bill Gates has a great influence over me because he came from a normal childhood and grew to be so successful because of motivation and innovation, which has made him the successful businessman he is today. He is one of the best programmers in the world and is the world’s youngest self-made billionaires, defined by Wikipedia (2012). He has generously donated to several charities, including his own. He is a hard worker and expected his coworkers and employees to have the same work ethic. He is a prime example of constructive criticism.

II. Your Field of Study
A. Computer Engineering Technology is my chosen field of study because I am a hands-on person and I enjoy working with computers.
B. I expect to graduate with my B.S. in Computer Engineering in the year 2015.

III. Characteristics of the leader
A. I got this leader because he was not handed his opportunities. He has had to work for everything that he possesses today.
B. By discovering Microsoft, Gates has gained control of the computer software world. Technological innovation, keen business strategy and aggressive competition tactics were used, according to The Biography Channel website (2011), to build the world’s largest software business.

IV. Characteristics of an effective leader A. Psychology Today (2009) states that experience, conscious self-development, education and training produces effective leaders. B. Gates’ leadership traits are his ability to be innovative. He is ambitious, intelligent and competitive according to Buzzle.com (2011).
V. Define Your Leadership Qualities
A. I am a hard worker, can be a team leader and be a cooperative part of a team.
1. In CSI Summary (2012), I was defined as receptive to academic assistance. Also, I have a great deal of commitment in my life and career planning.
2. I learned that if I put my mind to my work, I can accomplish anything. This is the way Bill Gates achieved his goals.
B. My personal strengths can support my success because if I use them in the correct way and work hard, I can achieve the goals that I have set for myself.

C. What are your personal weaknesses as a leader?
1. My personal weakness is procrastination. I need to start getting my work done ahead of time, instead of waiting until I absolutely need to do it. I will work on doing it earlier than waiting until the deadline.
VI. Conclusion
A. Bill Gates is very innovative and a mastermind in the world of computer software. Given his background, it is impressive that he worked as hard as he did to become the person he is today. He is made up of motivation, intelligence and aggression, in order to be the world’s youngest billionaire. He is one of the best programmers in the world and is the world’s youngest self-made billionaires, defined by Wikipedia (2012). Through his foundation, and many others, he has donated money for many charitable causes.
B. Bill Gates is a positive role model for anyone, especially people in the business world, because of the integrity and persistence that made him the person he is today. He had a vision of what and where he saw the computer world headed and worked hard to achieve this goal.

    In Mr. Gates early life, he was born as William Henry “Bill” Gates III on October 28, 1955. Mr. Gates was born in a wealthy family, his father was a lawyer and his mother served on the board of directors for First Interstate Banc System and the United Way, he also has two sisters.
